Xieka Township
It is located in the east of the county, adjacent to Hongba and Wanba townships in the East, Takka and naiqu townships in the south, gaer town in the West and Tanggu Township in the northwest. Township government in luorang village, 3110 meters above sea level, 68 kilometers away from the county. The township governs two administrative villages, luorang and xuewa, and six villager groups, with an area of 628.69 square kilometers and a total population of 1057 (2017), which is a Tibetan inhabited area.
In December 2019, Taka Yi Township and xieka township will be abolished and xuewalong town will be established. The administrative region of former Taka Yi Township and xieka township will be the administrative region of xuewalong town.
climatic conditions
The township is located in a high mountain valley with high terrain in the north and low terrain in the south. There are abundant forests and vast grasslands in the upper reaches of the Taka River and on both sides of the valley. The villagers live on both sides of the river, and the roads between villages are relatively flat. The highest altitude in the township is 5270 meters, and the lowest altitude is 2800 meters. It belongs to the mountain cold temperate zone, mountain cold temperate zone, alpine sub cold zone and alpine cold zone. The annual average temperature is 6.9 ℃, the annual precipitation is 890 mm, the frost free period is 163 days, and the climate is cold. economic development
Grain production is once a year, mainly producing corn and potato, followed by wheat and highland barley.
Xieka yak is one of the main production areas of Jiulong yak. Yak has large body and high yield of meat, milk and hair. It is an excellent local animal breed in China. It has been introduced to Tibet, Yunnan, Gansu, Qinghai and other provinces.
