Sangzhuang Town, known as sangjiadian in the Han Dynasty, is located 14 kilometers southeast of Dengzhou City, Nanyang City, Henan Province. History and culture

Sangzhuang town belonged to Sangzhuang District in 1949. It was called Sangzhuang commune in 1958. At the end of 1983, it was changed into a township. In September 2000, it was withdrawn from the township to build a town. In the Yuan Dynasty, the surname sang lived in sangjiazhuang. It is the location of Jiyang city in the Han Dynasty and the place where ancient soldiers stationed their troops. It is known as "Jiyang Xiongguan".
