Liaohepo town (formerly liaohepo township of Nanyang County) is located 15 kilometers north of Nanyang City, Henan Province. On February 22, 2013, the Provincial Department of Civil Affairs (yuminxingpi No. 11) replied: with the approval of the provincial government, it was agreed that Longxing Township in Wolong District of Nanyang city should be abolished and liaohepo town should be established, with the original administrative region and government residence unchanged.
