Huishan town is located in the south of Xinchang County, adjacent to Pan'an County of Jinhua City in the West and Tiantai County of Taizhou City in the south, with an average altitude of 412m. The town center is located at 120 ° 49'20 "E and 29 ° 16'50" n.

On November 20, 2019, the organizational system of Huishan town and Shuangcai Township in Xinchang County was abolished, and a new Huishan town was merged. After the adjustment, Huishan town covers an area of 97.02 square kilometers, has a population of 3611500, and governs 32 administrative villages.
Huishan town is known as the hometown of famous tea, Zizania latifolia and Atractylodes macrocephala. In 2007, it was recognized as a strong town with agricultural characteristics and advantageous industries (vegetable industry) in Zhejiang Province. It is also the place of the East Zhejiang assembly division of the Chinese people's Liberation Army, the leisure tourism base of the high mountain platform, and the sketching base of the Chinese Academy of fine arts.
Historical evolution
Huishan area was called Weishan in ancient times because it was surrounded by mountains. In the morning of summer and autumn, the clouds in the middle layer of the valley are piled up and illuminated by the sun. It looks like colored smoke, so it is also known as "Yanshan".
Huishan town belongs to Caiyan Township from Song Dynasty to Qing Dynasty.
In the second year of Xuantong of Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Caiyan township of Southern District.
In 1957, Anding township was designated.
It was returned to Shanshan people's commune in 1961.
In 1983, the township was changed.
In June 1992, the district was withdrawn, the town was expanded and the township was merged, and the two townships of Anding and Xintian were merged into Huishan town.

Anding mountain
Anding mountain is located at the junction of Shaoxing, Jinhua and Taizhou in Zhejiang Province. The main peak is 834.3 meters above sea level. It is bordered by three cities and three counties. Central Zhejiang Grand Canyon
