Guo Jia (170-207), with the word fengxiao, was born in Yangzhai (now Yuzhou City, Henan Province) of Yingchuan in the Eastern Han Dynasty. He was a famous statesman and militarist in the Jian'an period of the Eastern Han Dynasty. In the last years of the Eastern Han Dynasty, with the occurrence of the "ten regular servants rebellion" and "Dong Zhuo rebellion", the Eastern Han Dynasty was in turmoil. Cao Cao conquered Yingchuan, Yanzhou and other places by suppressing Huangjin uprising and welcomed emperor Xiandi of Han Dynasty, which formed the strategic advantage of seizing the emperor and commanding the princes. In the first year of Jian'an (196), Cao Cao issued the order of "only talents should be promoted". Guo Jia, 26 years old, was recommended by Xun Yu, who was the Minister of the same county. Cao Cao was appointed as the official of Sikong army to offer wine to Emperor Xian of the Han Dynasty, and became Cao Cao's arm from then on. During the 11 years, Cao Cao carried out such major strategic measures as "exterminating Lu Bu", "suppressing Liu Bei", "destroying Yuan Shao" and "expediting Wu Huan to the north" to unify most parts of the north and form a situation of tripartite confrontation. He died of illness in the Yizhou army in 207. Since then, whenever Cao Cao encountered a major military setback, he lamented: "pity, filial piety.". History says: he and Cao Cao "ride on the same horse, sit on the same table, catch Lv Bu in the East, take Mu Gu in the west, kill Yuan Tan, the death of Pingshuo scholars, surpass the dangerous fortress, and Dang Ding Wu pill". Cao Cao, as an emperor of Han Dynasty, presented Guo Jia with the posthumous title of "zhenhou", and his son Guo Yi inherited his title. According to Yu county annals, the inscription of Jiushan temple outside the Xiguan of Yincheng city says: "Guojia's hometown is Guolian in the east of the city.". Guolian Town, 9 kilometers northeast of the city, used to be called Guolian town. Because the Lianhe river runs through the village from east to west, it was once named Guolian in ancient times and later named Guolian. There is an ancient temple in the village, now known as Guandi temple, which is the third batch of cultural relics protection units in Yuzhou City.
