Xiantai Town, formerly known as Fentai Township, is located in the east of the central part of the county. The people's Government of the town is located at the southwest corner of Xiantai street, 15 kilometers away from the county. It borders Wuyang County in the East with a total area of 84 square kilometers and 6839 hectares of cultivated land. It has jurisdiction over 51 administrative villages and 87 natural villages. The residents are mainly Han nationality, and there are seven ethnic minorities, including Manchu, Hui, Miao, Buyi and Tujia. Historical evolution

Xiantai Town, Yexian County, Henan Province is a plain area with flat terrain and about 90 meters above sea level. The land in the area is fertile. Except for a small part of black soil in Northeast China, the rest is yellow soil. Lihe River flows into Wuyang county from Longquan Township, 3 km east along the southern border.
