Nianba Town, belonging to Kang County, Longnan City, Gansu Province, is located in the west of Kang County, with Chengguan town in the East, Douba town in the south, Wudu District in the northwest and Changba town across the mountain in the north. It is 13 kilometers away from Kang County, with a total area of 109.71 square kilometers.

Before 1949, nianba town belonged to Jing'an township; in 2014, it was changed from nianba township to nianba town. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population in the town was 11491. As of June 2020, nianba town has 14 administrative villages under its jurisdiction, and the people's Government of nianba town is stationed in Tianba village.

The main food crops in nianba town are wheat, corn and vegetables; the main animal husbandry is raising pigs, sheep and poultry. In 2018, nianba town has 1 industrial enterprise and 13 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

History of construction

Before 1949, it belonged to Jing'an township.

After December 1949, it belonged to Jichang district (now anmenkou), with cui'an Township and nianba township.

In July 1953, a dam area was set up.

In November 1958, it belonged to Corning commune.

In December 1961, Kangning commune established nianba commune.

In December 1983, it was restored to nianba township.

In 2014, nianba township was changed from township to town.
