Wuyao Township, belonging to Lianchi District, Baoding City, Hebei Province, is located in the southwest of Lianchi District, adjacent to nandayuan Township in the East, Qingyuan District in the south, Mancheng District in the West and Jingxiu District in the north. The Township People's government is located in Wuyao village. The maximum distance from east to west is 8 km, and the maximum distance from north to south is 4.6 km, with a total area of 27.79 square kilometers and a total population of 38814 (2018).
In 1953, Wuyao township was built. In 1965, it was transferred to Qingyuan County, known as Wuyao commune. In 1984, the township was restored. As of October 2019, Wuyao township has jurisdiction over 6 community neighborhood committees and 16 village committees.
In 2013, the gross social product of Wuyao township was 2.31 billion yuan, the total output value of enterprises was 2.13 billion yuan, the comprehensive profit was 170 million yuan, and the total industrial output value was 2.03 billion yuan. Historical evolution
In 1953, Wuyao township was built.
In October 1958, it was put under Baoding city and belongs to Hebei Agricultural University farm.
In 1965, it was transferred to Qingyuan County, known as Wuyao commune.
In 1984, the township was restored.
On January 1, 1999, Qingyuan County was assigned to Yuannan District of Baoding city.
