Bailou town
Bailou Town, belonging to Lianchi District, Baoding City, Hebei Province, is located in the northeast of Lianchi District, adjacent to Qingyuan District in the East, dongjinzhuang Township in the south, Hanzhuang Township in the West and Xushui District in the north. The Township People's government is located at No. 37, Yuxi Road, xibailou village. The maximum distance from east to west is 6.4km, and the maximum distance from north to south is 5.26km, with a total area of 27.07km2 and a total population of 25201 (2018).
In 1953, Bailou township was built. In 1961, Bailou commune was established. In 1984, Bailou township was restored. At the end of 2018, Bailou township was abolished and Bailou town was established in Lianchi District, taking the administrative area of Bailou township as the administrative area of Bailou town. As of October 2019, Bailou town has 13 village committees and the Township People's government is located at No. 37 Yuxi Road, a villager in xibailou.
In 2013, the agricultural output value of Bailou township was 142.03 million yuan, the per capita net income of farmers was 12000 yuan, the industrial output value was 3.145 billion yuan, and the retail sales of commodities was 190 million yuan. In 2017, there were 341 enterprises in Bailou Township, with 2166 employees, including 30 industrial enterprises. In 2018, there were 57 industrial enterprises in Bailou town.

Name and origin
Bailou town is named after the township government's residence in xibailou village.
Ha ha
Haha tune, also known as drink tune, haha tune and Liuzi tune, was developed from folk Yangko and formed in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasty. During the reign of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty, ha ha tune spread to Baoding, Hebei Province. It reached its peak in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China. After the founding of new China, there was a professional ha ha opera company in Qingyuan district. On May 20, 2006, haha tune (Qingyuan and Qingxian County of Hebei Province) was approved by the State Council and listed in the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage list.
