Taoyuan market town is a town under the jurisdiction of Cao County, Heze City, Shandong Province, China. It has jurisdiction over 71 administrative villages with a total area of 80.44 square kilometers and a permanent population of 65044 (2013). The town people's government is located in taoyuanji, 33 kilometers away from the county.
Taoyuan market town is located in the lower Yellow River alluvial plain, flat terrain. The main rivers are Dongyu River and Xinchong river. The main crops are wheat and corn, the main trees are Paulownia, poplar and Salix, and most livestock and poultry are pigs, goats, chickens and ducks. Taoyuan market town is a famous wood processing base and wood trading market in China, with wood processing industry as the leading industry. There are 53 professional wood processing villages in the town. G1511: the main highways such as Rizhao Nanyang expressway, national highway 220 (Dongying Zhengzhou) and provincial highway 350 (zhuangzhai qingyuji) cross the border.
Historical evolution
In the Hongwu Period of Ming Dynasty, the two surnames of Tang and Dai moved here from Hongdong, Shanxi Province. When there was a peach forest here, the peach blossoms bloomed in early spring every year, and the fragrance floated ten li, so it was called peach garden. Later, some scholars took the word "Taoyuan" from Tao Yuanming's "Taohuayuan Ji" and refined "Taoyuan" into "Taoyuan". In the early Qing Dynasty, wangguanji moved to the north, so it was named Taoyuan market town. In 1735, it belonged to xin'anli, xiahouli and banchengli. In the first year of Qianlong (1736) of the Qing Dynasty, the office of governor and governor of Caozhou Prefecture was set up. Later, it was transformed into Taoyuan Town, and Taoyuan camp garrison house and Feihu hall were successively set up. At that time, it governed three provinces and seven counties, and was abolished in 1914. In 1928, it belonged to the Tenth District of Caoxian county. In 1930, the northern part belonged to the third district of Caoxian County, and the district office was located in taoyuanji; the southern part belonged to the second district (Weiwan). In August 1943, the northern part belonged to the third district of Qibin County, and the southern part belonged to the Second District of Qibin county. In August 1949, the northern part belonged to the seventh district of Caoxian county (in Taoyuan), and the southern part belonged to the eighth District of Caoxian county. In 1952, dazhaiji area in the South was divided into the seventh district (Taoyuan District). In 1957, dazhaiji area in the South belonged to zhangdiquan township. In March 1958, zhuangzhai separated from Taoyuan and established zhuangzhai township; in September, zhuangzhai Township merged with Taoyuan Township and established universal people's commune; in October, it was renamed taoyuanji people's commune. Dazhaiji area belongs to taoyuanji commune in the north and Louzhuang commune in the south. At the end of 1959, the southern dazhaiji area was changed to liuzhuangji commune. In February 1960, taoyuanji people's commune was renamed zhuangzhai people's commune. In 1962, Louzhuang commune was restored, and the south of dazhaiji area still belonged to Louzhuang. in January 1979, 50 natural villages in the eastern half of zhuangzhai people's commune were set up to establish taoyuanji people's commune; meanwhile, dazhaiji people's commune was set up, with 4 villages in the southern part of the original zhuangzhai people's Commune and some villages in Louzhuang commune under the new dazhaiji people's commune. In January 1984, the people's commune was abolished and taoyuanji Township and dazhaiji Township were established. In December 1996, Taoyuan Township was abolished and Taoyuan town was established. In February 2001, dazhaiji township was abolished and incorporated into Taoyuan town. in June 2020, the administrative division code of Taoyuan market town was cancelled, and the district code of zhuangzhai town was changed to 371721101, and Taoyuan market town was merged into zhuangzhai town.

In March 2001, dazhaiji township was abolished, and its 21 administrative villages (dayankou, qianyangkou, Zhangzhuang, Mazhuang, Dazhai East Street, Dazhai West Street, Dazhai South Street, qianwangzhuang, Qianji, Jiepai, xudiquan, zhangdiquan East, zhangdiquan West, hugaozhuang, Gaozhuang, hougengsi, wangjurenzhuang, Fengzhuang, mallou, dongzhaogou, Xizhaogou) were incorporated into Taoyuan town. By the end of 2013, Taoyuan town had 71 administrative villages and 74 natural villages.

Taoyuan market town is located 34 kilometers northwest of Cao county. The town government is located in Taoyuan market village. It is adjacent to dahuangji town in Mudan District in the north, Louzhuang town in the southeast, Nanzhang town in Lankao County in Henan Province in the southwest, Hanji town and changleji town in the East, and zhuangzhai town in the West. The total area is 80.44 square kilometers. Dongyu river flows from west to east along the northern border, Xinchong river runs through the whole territory from east to west, with a length of 6.5 km, and yanzhaigou, Zhifanggou and other ditches crisscross. The groundwater level is 6-8m. There are four 500m deep water wells and 66 administrative villages are connected with tap water.
