Liupowu Town, belonging to Yangxin County, Binzhou City, Shandong Province, is located in the west of Yangxin County, bordering Jinyang street and zhaiwang town in the East, Yanghu Township in the south, Wendian town in the west, Shangtang town and Zhongding Township in Qingyun County in the north. The area is 71.56 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, the population of Liu Po Wu town registered residence was 45294.
In May 1964, it was reestablished as liupowu District, and Caoji commune was incorporated. In December 1970, it was re established as liupowu commune. In March 1984, liupowu township was set up. In April 1995, the township was transformed into a town. As of June 2020, liupowu town has 73 administrative villages.
By the end of 2018, there were 321 industrial enterprises in liupowu Town, including 4 Industrial Enterprises above Designated Size and 78 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
Historical evolution
In August 1945, it was divided into ten districts.
In March 1956, liupowu district was established, and the original seven districts were merged.
In September 1958, liupowu commune was established and Caoji commune was established.
In May 1964, it was reestablished as liupowu District, and Caoji commune was incorporated.
In December 1970, it was re established as liupowu commune.
In March 1984, liupowu township was set up.
