Tieqiao Town, subordinate to Kaizhou District of Chongqing, is located in the southwest corner of Kaizhou District, connecting Linjiang town in the East, Nanmen town and Yuexi town in the south, Wushan town in the West and Nanya town in the north. It is 32 kilometers away from the people's Government of Kaizhou District, with a total area of 115 square kilometers.
In the late Qing Dynasty, Tieqiao town was located in tiesuoqiaojia, Jiangli; in September 1985, Tieqiao township was rebuilt into Tieqiao town. By the end of 2018, the population of the registered residence in Tie Qiao town was 58536. As of June 2020, Tieqiao town has 3 communities and 15 administrative villages, and the people's Government of Tieqiao town is in tiesuoqiao community.
In 2018, there were 72 industrial enterprises in Tieqiao Town, including 3 above scale enterprises and 25 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
History of construction
At the end of Qing Dynasty, it was the iron lock bridge in Jiangli.
In 1930, tiesuoqiao township was established. In 1932, Tieqiao town was established. In 1935, Tieqiao town was changed into tiesuoqiao joint protection. In the 29th year of the Republic of China (1940), the joint insurance was abolished and changed to Tieqiao township. In 1941, Tieqiao township was established as Lingtong township.
In 1958, Tieqiao township was changed into Tieqiao commune.
In 1961, Tieqiao commune established Lingtong commune.
In October 1983, Tieqiao commune was changed into Tieqiao township.
In September 1985, Tieqiao township was rebuilt into Tieqiao town.

By the end of 2011, Tieqiao town had 1 Community under tiesuoqiao, 15 administrative villages including Jinsha, longwangqiao, Longquan, Huanglong, Wantang, Yuelong, Wufu, Yuhe, Tieqiao, Santai, Lingtong, Tian'an, Zhangjiaping, Yishi and Xinnan, 4 resident groups and 137 villager groups.
