Yaoan Township, belonging to Linxi County, Xingtai City, Hebei Province, is located in the southwest of Linxi County, adjacent to Jianzhuang town in the East, Guantao County in the south, jiaoqiu County in the west, xiabaosi town in the north, 20 kilometers away from the people's Government of Linxi County, with a total area of 77 square kilometers.

During the period of the Republic of China, Yaoan town was the residence of Linxi Working Committee in Southern Hebei; on May 1, 1984, it was changed from Yaoan town commune to Yaoan Town township.
