Handian town
Handian Town, subordinate to Zhuanglang County, Pingliang City, Gansu Province, is located in the West foot of Liupan, Guanshan area in the east of Zhuanglang County, Huating county and Jingyuan County of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region in the East, Zhangjiachuan Hui Autonomous County in the south, Pan'an town and Nanping Township in the west, Liangyi Town, Yongning Town and Zhenghe Township in the north. It covers an area of 190.16 square kilometers.
After the first year of the Republic of China (1912), it was Jiaohan township of Jingning County. In 1942, it was transferred to Zhuanglang County and renamed Xinlong township. After 1949, Xinlong district was established. In 1957, Dianxia Township and Zhushan Township were included. In September 1958, Handian commune was set up in Hanjiadian; in December of the same year, it belonged to Handian commune in Jingning County. In 1983, it was changed to Handian township. In October 2002, Handian town was built. In 2004, Jieya township was abolished, and the two villages of nieziping and caiziwan under its jurisdiction were assigned to Handian town. By the end of 2018, Han Dian town had 23137 registered residence. As of June 2020, Handian town has jurisdiction over 17 administrative villages.

Historical evolution
After the first year of the Republic of China (1912), it was Jiaohan township of Jingning County.
In 1942, it was transferred to Zhuanglang County and renamed Xinlong township.
After 1949, Xinlong district was established.
In 1957, Dianxia Township and Zhushan Township in Shanzhai District of Huating county were included.
In September 1958, when the commune was established, Handian commune was set up and stationed in Hanjiadian; in December of the same year, after Zhuanglang County was merged into Jingning County, it belonged to Handian commune in Jingning County.
In June 1961, Zhenghe commune was established separately; in December of the same year, when Zhuanglang administrative region was restored, it was Handian commune in Zhuanglang County.
In 1962, Shiyu commune was set up.
In 1964, Shiyu commune went back together.
In 1983, it was changed to Handian township.
In October 2002, Handian town was built.
In 2004, Jieya township was abolished and its two villages, nieziping and caiziwan, were assigned to Handian town.
