Xiacun town
Xiacun Town, subordinate to Rushan City, Weihai City, Shandong Province, is located in the south of the central part of Rushan City. It is adjacent to Dagushan town in the East, Rushankou town in the south, Rushanzhai town across the Rushan River in the west, Yuli town and Wuji town in the north, and the administrative area is 99.9 square meters.
In Hongwu Period of Ming Dynasty, Xia family lived in this village and named it Xia Village. In 1735, it belonged to Haiyang county. In January 1982, Xiacun commune was abolished and Xiacun town was restored. By the end of 2018, the number of registered residence in Xia Village was 39782. As of June 2020, Xiacun town has 46 administrative villages under its jurisdiction.

History of construction
In Hongwu Period of Ming Dynasty, Xia family lived in this village and named it Xia Village.
In 1735, it belonged to Haiyang county.
In February, 1941, it belonged to Xiacun Township, Muhai county.
In September 1942, it belonged to Xiacun Town, Muhai county.
In September 1944, it belonged to 14 districts of Muhai county.
In January 1945, it belonged to Xiacun District of Rushan county.
In October 1949, it belongs to Xiacun town.
On February 16, 1956, tengjiazhuang District, Shicun district and Xiacun town were removed and Xiacun district was rebuilt; in December of the same year, Xiacun town was renamed.
On September 2, 1958, it belonged to Xiacun commune.
In January 1982, Xiacun commune was abolished and Xiacun town was restored.

Xiacun town is a hilly area with high terrain in the north and low terrain in the south. The northern part is hilly area, the altitude is about 100 meters; the central and southern part is riverside plain, the altitude is generally below 50 meters. Fushan, the highest peak in the territory, is located in the north of Xiacun Town, with an altitude of 244 meters; the lowest point is located in the northwest of Jingzi village, with an altitude of 4 meters.

The main natural disasters in Xiacun town are hail, drought, waterlogging, wind, low temperature, frost, lightning and so on. Hail disaster occurred three times in seven years on average, the most serious one occurred on July 22, 1989, hail time was about 23 minutes, involving 22 villages in the territory, such as sangxingbu, Dongsi, Xisi, Yujiazhuang, Zhengjia, Jiangjia, etc., the affected area reached 12000 Mu: wind disaster occurred all year round, the most serious one occurred in August 1998, tornado affected 22000 mu of autumn crops, reducing production by more than 65%.

In 2000, a total of 840 hectares of cash crops were developed in Xiacun Town, including 118 hectares of dry and miscellaneous fruits and 287 hectares of high-quality fruits. 270 winter warm vegetable greenhouses and 840 small arch greenhouses were built, mainly planting more than 10 kinds of fruits and vegetables, such as cucumber, beans, celery, grapes and leeks. In 2000, the output of fruits reached 12000 tons, the total output of vegetables was 2000 tons, and the total income was 60 million yuan.
