Tietongxiang

Tietong Township, an old township name, has been abolished. Originally under the jurisdiction of Zongyang County, Tongling City, Anhui Province, it is located in the southwest of Zongyang County, about 1km away from the county seat. Historical changes

Due to the special geographical environment of tietongxiang, which is located in the center of the Yangtze River, before the completion of the Three Gorges hydropower station, tietongxiang was faced with the threat of two major disasters. One is the merciless flood of the Yangtze River, that is, external waterlogging, which broke the copper iron dyke in 1949 and 1954. The second is the collapse of the dyke, which has a long history. This disaster has engulfed yubanzhou. After the completion of the Three Gorges project, the flood and waterlogging disasters have improved in recent years, but the levee has not stopped collapsing.
