Zhangchong Township belongs to Jinzhai County, Lu'an City, Anhui Province. It is located in the upstream of Xianghongdian reservoir, integrating reservoir area and mountainous area. The township governs 13 administrative villages and 125 villager groups. By the end of 2008, there were 13 village primary schools and 1 central school with 1780 students.

Zhangchong township is rich in natural resources. By the end of 2008, it had 35000 mu of Phyllostachys pubescens with an annual output of 650000. In 1998, it was named "Anhui bamboo township" by the provincial forestry department, and is one of the top ten bamboo townships in Anhui Province. The tea garden has 5000 mu with an annual output of 300 tons of dry tea, the mulberry garden has 2025 mu with an annual output of 140 tons of dry cocoons, and the chestnut garden has 3000 mu with an annual output of 239 tons of chestnut. water resources are also very rich. The water area of the township is vast, with 10995 mu of water surface, good water quality, long illumination time, suitable for fish farming. 5184 cage fish have been developed, accounting for 216 mu of available water surface, and 10779 mu of water surface is still available for development and utilization. By the end of 2008, a hydropower station with an installed capacity of 25000 kW will be officially put into operation, becoming the largest hydropower station in Jinzhai. The 1600 kW Xishi power station was put into operation in June 2008. in terms of tourism resources: there are rich cultural landscapes such as Liubo ancient ferry, East and West Stone children's eye, Longtan waterfall, toad stone, small island, etc., which have good development value. The newly built Liubo reservoir has more tourism development value.

As the township is located around the Xianghongdian reservoir, the soil and climate are very suitable for the growth of Phyllostachys pubescens. There are large areas of Phyllostachys pubescens distributed in 13 villages of the township. The growth of Phyllostachys pubescens has straight trunk shape, thick wall and good quality. It is the main economic forest cultivated by local people and one of the local economic pillars. Since 2000, the benefits of Phyllostachys pubescens production have become increasingly apparent, and the polarity of mass development of Phyllostachys pubescens is unprecedented. Through the implementation of forestry projects, more than 300000 new Phyllostachys pubescens plants have been planted in 10 years, increasing the area of Phyllostachys pubescens by more than 10000 mu. At the same time, Zhangchong township is also the central production area of Phyllostachys pubescens in the west of Anhui Province, bordering zhufo'an town in the East, and Yanzihe Town, Qingshan town and youfangdian town in the south, West and North, respectively. The output of Phyllostachys pubescens in this area reaches more than 2 million, and the resources of Phyllostachys pubescens are very rich.

There are Xiaoqiaotou primary tea market and Daling tea trading market. The construction area of the market town has reached 5.04 million square meters.
