Chaoquan town belongs to Tai'an City, Shandong Province. It is located in the West foot of Mount Tai and the northeast of Feicheng City. It is adjacent to Daiyue district of Tai'an City in the East and Changqing District of Jinan City in the north. Its geographical coordinates are 116 ° 47 ′~ 116 ° 53 ′ E and 36 ° 12 ′~ 36 ° 18 ′ n. The branch line of Beijing Shanghai railway crosses the East and West, and Thai Lin highway is connected with Beijing Shanghai Expressway, Beijing Fuzhou Expressway and national highway 104. Chaoquan town covers a total area of 52.88 square kilometers, with 35000 mu of arable land and 25000 mu of mountain forest. It has 11 administrative villages, 41 natural villages, 6710 households and a total population of 20677 (2017).
Chaoquan town is a national voluntary tree planting demonstration unit, a safe and civilized Township in Shandong Province, an advanced unit of Ideological and political work, a star of Qilu Township, and an advanced unit of water-saving irrigation and forestry production.
In July 2020, the National Patriotic Health Association decided to name Chaoquan town as a national health Township in the period of 2017-2019.
Evolution of organizational system
In the early Western Han Dynasty (206 BC), Chaoquan town was under the jurisdiction of Feicheng County; in the Northern Zhou Dynasty, it was under the management of Feicheng county.
In 1275 (the 12th year of yuan to Yuan Dynasty), Feicheng county was restored, belonging to Shagou community of Yucheng and rural areas, and chaoquanpu post station was set up; in 1910 (the 2nd year of Xuantong of Qing Dynasty), it was under the jurisdiction of Zhendong township of Feicheng county.
In 1928, Feicheng county was divided into nine districts, and the township was under the jurisdiction of the first district; in 1942, Muling township of the second district was under the jurisdiction of Chaoquan township.
In June 1949, Feicheng county was divided into ten districts and one town. Chaoquan Township belongs to the first district (Chengguan)

In 1950, Chaoquan, Xiazhai, Liugou, Dawang and baifutu were established.
In July 1957, Chaoquan Township, Liugou Township, Dawang Township and baichi Township were merged into Chaoquan township.

Chaoquan town is surrounded by mountains in the north, East and south, plains in the middle and West, and low mountains, hills and plains account for 1 / 3 respectively. Jianyun mountain is 600 meters above sea level, which is the highest point in Feicheng City, with the lowest elevation of 110 meters.
