Shanwang town is subordinate to Linqu County of Shandong Province, covering an area of 107 square kilometers, with 16 administrative villages and 35000 people.
Town profile
Located in the northeast of the county, the town is 19 kilometers away from the county. With a total area of 107 square kilometers, it has jurisdiction over 16 administrative villages, 76 natural villages, 11900 households and 35000 people. It has won the title of provincial advanced collective of poverty alleviation and development and provincial civilized town.
Historical evolution
From the Ming Dynasty to the second year of Xuantong in the Qing Dynasty (1910), the township social system was implemented in the county, and Zhongshan Township was in the territory. In 1930, the district township system was implemented, belonging to the Sixth District. In January 1945, the CPC Central Committee of Shandong Province designated Niuhe, yingzi, Panyang, Yaoshan and Liushan as five districts to establish Lindong County; in August 1945, Lindong county was abolished and its territory was under the jurisdiction of Changle County. In April 1948, the whole territory of Linqu was liberated; in July, it was assigned to the eighth District of Xinjian Yilin county. In June 1952, Yilin county was abolished and returned to Linqu, belonging to the fourteenth (Yaoshan) district. In 1956, it was renamed Yaoshan district. The people's commune was established in September 1958. Longgang people's commune was established in the former Longgang District and the four townships of wujiaya, Shanglin, Luodi and Fulin in the former Yaoshan district. Liushan people's commune was established in the former Liushan Township and the three townships of Taohua, Xingshan and Hangshan in the former Yaoshan District. In April 1961, the four townships of wujiaya, Shanglin, Luodi and Fulin in the former Yaoshan area and the three townships of Taohua, Xingshan and Hangshan in the former Yaoshan area separated from the Longgang commune and Liushan commune (i.e. Yaoshan area) to form Yaoshan people's commune. In April 1984, the commune was transformed into a township (town), and the former 25 brigades of Luolin and Hangshan formed Luolin township; the remaining 51 brigades of Yaoshan commune formed Shanglin town. In June 1993, Luolin township was abolished and merged into Shanglin town. In August 2007, Longgang and Shanglin were merged into Longgang Town, where the former Shanglin town government was located. In February 2012, Longshan high-tech industrial park was set up. 41 administrative villages in the former Longgang town were included in Longshan high-tech industrial park; 57 administrative villages in the former Shanglin town were included in Longgang town. In December 2013, Longgang town was renamed Shanwang town.
economic development
The small and medium-sized enterprise entrepreneurial Industrial Park in Linqu County will be built in the town to create a new model of "three districts and four plates", "intensive land use, cluster development" and "enterprise headquarters economy". In 2012 and 2013, a total of 16 enterprises settled in the industrial park, including 3 projects with an investment of 300 million yuan and 11 Industrial Enterprises above designated size. The small and medium-sized enterprise entrepreneurship Industrial Park has been rated as the excellent small and medium-sized enterprise entrepreneurship guidance base in Shandong Province and Weifang City. In 2013, the total fiscal revenue was 10.29 million yuan, and the local fiscal revenue was 8.05 million yuan, an increase of 39.3% and 40.2% respectively over the previous year; the main business income of Industrial Enterprises above designated size was 1.2 billion yuan, an increase of 12.43% over the previous year, and the profits and taxes were 130 million yuan; the total grain output was 21528 tons, and the per capita net income of farmers was 10070 yuan.
natural resources
The cultivated land area of the town is 69000 mu. Millet and cherry are the characteristic products of planting industry. New Hangshan, Baigou, dachegou, dongshanglin, xishanglin, Hezhuang six greenhouse cherry production base, development of 2232 growers, new greenhouse 2720, an area of 5840 mu, a cherry trading market, an area of more than 5000 square meters, in 2013 sales of 1500 tons of cherry. 11 trademarks of agricultural products have been registered in total. Shanwang cherry and jingeshan millet have been certified as national geographical indication products.
There are 1 junior high school, 4 primary schools, 204 teachers and 1986 students, 6 kindergartens, 35 teachers and 276 children in the kindergarten. There were 72 medical staff in one Township Center Health Center and 91 medical staff in 16 rural clinics.
Honors
In May 2020, it will be selected into the list of incentive townships (towns, streets) for cultivated land protection in Shandong Province in 2019.
