Zhang Xingzhen

Zhangxing town was merged from the former Zhangxing town and Songjia town in 2001. It is located in the north of Zhaoyuan City, Shandong Province. It is adjacent to Zhaoyuan City in the south, Longkou City in the north, Luoshan National Forest Park and Nanshan scenic spot in the East, and Binhai New Area in Zhaoyuan City in the West. It runs through Longshui Road, Huangshui Road, dadelong railway, 608 Expressway auxiliary road, Rongwu Expressway and Longqing expressway.

The total area of the town is 160.7 square kilometers, including 68000 mu of cultivated land, 75000 mu of mountains and 58000 mu of grain fields; 91 administrative villages and 100 natural villages are under the jurisdiction of the town; the permanent population is 52974 (2017).

Historical evolution

Zhangxing town was merged by the former Zhangxing town and Songjia town in 2001. In the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the former Zhangxing town belonged to the Zhangxing and Youji communities of Huangshan township. In the early years of the Republic of China, it belonged to the third district after the community was changed into a township. In the 20th year of the Republic of China, it was transferred to Zhangxing Township, the eighth district. In January 1941, Zhaoyuan County was divided into Zhaonan county and Zhaobei county. Zhaobei county was located in Dujia village. In 1950, Zhaonan and Zhaobei counties merged into Jinshan District. In 1958, Guangming and rocket people's communes were set up. In 1959, it was merged into Jinshan people's commune. In 1981, it was changed into Zhangxing people's commune. In 1984, it was set up as Zhangxing township. In 1988, Zhangxing town was set up. since the establishment of Zhaoyuan County, the former Songjia town has been affiliated to Zhaoyuan County, which has remained unchanged for hundreds of years. In the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to the four societies of Wangcao, Dali, Chuanli and Fuyin in Huangshan township. In the early Republic of China, it belonged to the second district and was changed to the ninth district in 1928. In May 1958, the district was removed and the township was established as Dali Township and song hometown. In October, two people's communes, Chaomei and Yuejin, were established. In November, it became the grass-roots commune of the Song family. In May 1959, it was renamed Jishan people's commune. He divided duoshikou into Xujia people's commune in October 1966 and Jishan commune in March 1975. In March 1984, the people's commune was abolished and song's hometown was established. In November 1988, Songjia town was established. In January 2001, Songjia town was abolished and its administrative region was merged into Zhangxing town.

It is rich in natural resources. The terrain is high in the East and flat in the West. The mountains in the East are undulating and overlapping. Shicheng mountain is 752 meters above sea level, and tourists often climb to enjoy it. The "longzijian" mountain spring behind duoshikou is widely sold in Zhaoyuan and Longkou. The western part of Zhaoyuan is flat, with "Zhangxing Dawa" and a boundary river flowing through the town into the Bohai Sea. It is one of the main grain producing areas in Zhaoyuan. The town is rich in products, with fruit as the most, with an orchard area of 20000 mu. Hometown of fans

Zhangxing town is the origin and main producing area of "Longkou fans", enjoying the reputation of "the first town of Longkou fans in the world". Zhang Xingzhen's Longkou fans are an old brand with a history of 150 years, and have won the "golden laurel" award, the highest international food award in the world. in the late Ming and early Qing Dynasty, Zhang Xingzhen began to produce mung bean vermicelli. In 1800, a vermicelli workshop with mung bean as raw material was set up in beilizhuang village. In 1849, Xu Dengyong, a member of the Xujia village of the town, ran a "Fuju" shop in Zhaocheng. Later, his family set up jutaifu, hongtaifu and other powder shops to buy fans and transport them to Yantai. In the tenth year of Xianfeng in the Qing Dynasty (1860), Xu's four major powder factories set up a "Hongtai" distribution shop in Hong Kong to purchase Zhaoyuan mung bean vermicelli, which were shipped from Longkou and sold to Nanyang and Western Europe through Hong Kong. The packaging was marked with the word "Longkou vermicelli". Since then, mung bean vermicelli have been known as "Longkou vermicelli". Longkou vermicelli is known as the "king of vermicelli" in domestic and foreign markets for its fine and even silk, pure and transparent, tough and soft texture, refreshing food, and heat clearing and heat relieving effect. After the opening of Longkou port, Zhaoyuan people set up Fanzhuang in Longkou one after another to increase export sales, which gradually made Longkou fans famous at home and abroad. From 1920 to 1930, the production and sales of Zhaoyuan fans reached their peak. The number of fans produced in Zhaoyuan is equal to the total production of other counties in Shandong Province, most of which are fans produced in Zhangxing. In the early 1970s, the production of fans developed from workshops to professional manufacturers. In the 1980s, it realized the leap from manual processing to mechanical processing. in the 21st century, vermicelli processing equipment has changed from mechanization to modernization and automation. New products such as instant vermicelli and straight vermicelli have been developed, and famous brands such as "Guanzhu" and "dizhu" have been cultivated. In September 2002, Zhaoyuan City was awarded the title of "city of fans of China" by China agricultural society. In 2005, there were 74 vermicelli production and processing enterprises in the town, and the main products were Longkou vermicelli, coarse cereals vermicelli and bean protein. In 2005, the output of vermicelli in the whole town was 150000 tons, the output of bean protein was 60000 tons, and the export earned US $23 million.

Stone Town

Zhangxing town is rich in "g3783" stone. The stone storage capacity is 2 billion cubic meters. The Stone Industrial Park was founded in 1998, with a planning area of 4 square kilometers. It has 300 stone processing enterprises and 102 quarries. More than 95% of them are private enterprises. Now the plate production capacity reaches 15 million square meters, with an annual output of 500000 cubic meters of granite blocks and 200000 cubic meters of standard stones and rubble. In 2003, it achieved sales revenue of 1 billion yuan and profits and taxes of 85 million yuan. It was awarded "provincial private economy demonstration park" by Shandong Provincial Department of construction and small and medium enterprises office.

Strong mechanical town

Zhangxing town's machinery processing industry originated in the period of people's commune. Now there are 35 backbone enterprises represented by four groups: Northeast Special Steel Group Shandong Yinglun Machinery Co., Ltd., Zhaoyuan Yuanxing Machinery Co., Ltd., Yantai pearl Machinery Co., Ltd. and Zhaoyuan Hongchang Machinery Co., Ltd. the main products are Yizi brand internal combustion engine cooling water pump, Eagle brand gear, Pearl brand gear and tower crane Slewing ring and other three series of more than 200 varieties, of which 22 products won the provincial and ministerial high-quality product title, with an annual output value of 800 million, is an important economic pillar of the town.

Traffic situation

National Highway 206 runs through the East and West, the construction of Da Lai long railway and Yan Wei expressway is under way, and a transfer station is set up in Xinzhuang. Xinzhuang is connected with Longkou port in the East, Yantai Qingdao airport in the south, Weifang and Jinan in the West. The water, land and air transportation is very convenient, extending in all directions.

Zhang Xingzhen has attached great importance to humanistic education for a long time. Since the first district primary school was set up in Zhulin Temple of Congjia village in 1931, a primary education system from primary school to junior high school has been built in the area, with more than 600 teaching staff and more than 5000 students.
