Longgang street of Longkou City was originally Longkou town of Huangxian County, located in the northwest of Jiaodong Peninsula, the South Bank of Bohai Bay, and the northwest of Longkou City. Historical evolution
The former Longkou town is located in the west of Longkou City. It is adjacent to Zhongcun town in the East, Beima town and Haidai town in the South and Bohai Sea in the northwest. The coastline is 26 kilometers long. The town has a total area of 27.51 square kilometers, 8000 mu of arable land and a total population of 50100 people. The town has 12 villager committees, 2 professional teams and 13 natural villages. Except Qimu island at the northwest end, other villages belong to the plain. The first, fourth and seventh days of the ancient calendar are Jiri. According to the annals of Huang County published by Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty, "Longkou pier was built by Xu Huizu, Duke of the state of Wei in the 21st year of Hongwu of the Ming Dynasty", and the name of Longkou was first seen here. In the 10th year of the reign of emperor Tongzhi of the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to the mating society of Qianshan. In 1971, it belonged to Qianyuan township of ten districts. In 1929, it belonged to eight districts. From 1939 to 1944, it was Longkou City in Shandong Province. It was designated as Longkou special zone in 1945. Longkou was established in 1946. In 1950, the city was withdrawn and changed into Longkou district. Longkou town in 1956. In September 1958, Dongfeng people's commune was jointly established with Longhua township. In 1959, it was called Longkou Town People's commune. Longkou town was restored in 1981. On November 19, 1993, Longkou town was abolished and Xicheng sub district office was set up in the administrative area of the former Longkou town. The former people's Government of Longkou town was the resident of Xicheng sub district office. On December 19, 2000, Xicheng sub district office changed its name to Longgang sub district office, which was stationed in the former Xicheng sub district office.

It was established in 1992 with the approval of Shandong Provincial People's government, with a control area of 18 square kilometers, 22 administrative villages and a total population of 145140 (2010). The development zone is adjacent to Bohai Bay in the west, Longkou City in the north, close to Yanwei expressway, 70 km away from Yantai airport and 2 km away from Longkou port, with traffic extending in all directions. the accumulated investment in the area is 150 million, and the infrastructure construction of water, electricity, heating and communication has been completed. There are one 35kV substation and one 110kV Substation in the area, and the main road framework of "five vertical and six horizontal" has been built, reaching the investment condition of "six connections and one leveling".
