Shikou town

Shikou Town, belonging to Dongying District, Dongying City, Shandong Province, is located in the southwest of Dongying District, adjacent to Shengyuan street in the East, Niuzhuang town in the southeast, Longju town in the southwest and West, and Haojia town in Kenli County in the north, with an administrative area of 78.34 square kilometers.

In 1957, Shikou township was established; in July 1987, it was assigned to Dongying District; in October 1992, Shikou township was established. As of 2018, the registered residence of Shi Kou Town was 41000. In June 2020, Shikou town governs one community and 61 administrative villages.

History of construction

In 1957, Shikou township was established.

In September 1958, Shikou commune was established under the jurisdiction of Boxing County; in November of the same year, it was under the jurisdiction of Guangrao County.

In 1964, it was renamed Shikou district.

In May 1966, it was transferred to Kenli County.

In 1970, Shikou commune was established.

In October 1983, it was assigned to Niuzhuang district.

In July 1984, it was changed to Shikou township.

In July 1987, it was assigned to Dongying District.

In October 1992, Shikou town was established.

In March 2001, Youguo township was merged into Shikou town.

In November 2003, eight villages of Beigao, Lujia, Dingjia, JiangWang, Nanwang, Wenjia, Dongshang and Zhaojia in Shikou town were included in Shengyuan street.
