Mushi town

Mushi Town, subordinate to Tengzhou City, Zaozhuang City, Shandong Province, is located in the southeast of Tengzhou City. It borders Dongshahe street in the north, Sangcun town in Shanting District, nanshahe town in the west, Yangzhuang town in the East and Guanqiao town in the south, with a total administrative area of 66.93 square kilometers.

After 1949, five villages in the North belonged to Sangcun district and the rest to Guanqiao district. In 1959, it was renamed Mushi commune, and in March 1984, it was renamed Mushi town. By the end of 2018, the registered residence population in Mu Shi town was 52704. As of June 2020, Mushi town has 4 communities and 38 administrative villages.

History of construction

After 1949, five villages in the north belong to Sangcun District, and the rest belong to Guanqiao district.

In 1957, two townships, Mushi and Lianshui, were built in Jingyu.

In June 1958, the district was withdrawn and Mushi township was built; in September of the same year, Shengli commune was built.

In 1959, it was renamed Mushi commune.

In 1965, the Mushi commune was withdrawn and the small commune was built, all of which belong to Guanqiao district.

In 1968, Guanqiao district was withdrawn and the Mushi commune and its administrative districts were restored.

In March 1984, it was changed to Mushi town.
