Fangzhen
Fangzhen Town, subordinate to Zhangdian District, Zibo City, Shandong Province, is located in the northwest of Zhangdian District, adjacent to Zhangdian city in the East, Mashang town in the south, northern suburb town of Zhoucun District in the west, Zhoujia town of Huantai County in the north, and sibaoshan street in the northeast, with an administrative area of 38.4 square kilometers.
In the seventh year of the Republic of China (1918), Changshan County abolished the contract and set up townships under the district. The Fourth District Office of Changshan County was called Fangzhen District when it was set up in Fangzhen. In July of 1949, Yaonan county had jurisdiction over seven townships, namely Mashang Township, Dazhang Township, Dagao Township, Jiuji Township, Yuanshang Township, fan Township and Beiling township. In April 1950, Yaonan county was renamed Changshan County. History of construction
Fangzhen was first built in the Warring States period. It used to be Fangzhuang village and Zhenzhuang Village (so it is called dongfangxizhen Village), and later it developed into a village.
During the Western Jin Dynasty, Dongxi Avenue in Shandong Province moved southward and passed through here, with shops on the roadside.
In 1711, the territory was under the jurisdiction of the second township of Changshan County. Fangzhendian, Jijia village, Dagaozhuang, Zhongjia village, Dongsun village and xiaosun village were under the jurisdiction of Changshan County.
In 1918, the contract of Changshan County was abolished, and the township was set up under the district. When the Fourth District Office of Changshan County was set up in Fangzhen, it was called Fangzhen district.
In July 1949, Fangzhen District of Yaonan County governed seven townships: Mashang Township, Dazhang Township, Dagao Township, Jiuji Township, Yuanshang Township, fan Township and Beiling township.
In April 1950, Yaonan county was renamed Changshan County; in September of the same year, Fangzhen district was changed to the Fourth District of Changshan County, which was located in the northwest village of Mashang Town, then known as Mashang District, under the jurisdiction of Mashang, Fangzhen and other 13 townships.
In March 1956, Changshan County was abolished and Changshan County and Zouping County were merged. Seven townships under the jurisdiction of Mashang District, including Mashang and Fangzhen, were merged into Mashang, Fangzhen and Jiuji townships. The people's Government of Fangzhen township was located in Fangzhen.
In October 1958, Fangzhen township was abolished and Fangzhen commune was established.
In November 1958, Fangzhen commune was under the jurisdiction of Zhangdian District of Zibo City from Zouping County.
In May 1983, Fangzhen commune was transformed into a township.
In 1994, it was changed to Fangzhen.
On April 21, 2001, Dazhang town was merged into Fangzhen town.
