Ziyang town
Historical
Ziyang town
Wuyuan County government moved from Qinghua town to Wuyuan County Government. It is a thousand year old ancient town. It dates back to the sixth year of Xiantong in Tang Dynasty (865 AD). It was called Xiangao, also known as juecheng, and then Ziyang (named after Zhu Xi).
A new juecheng street has been set up in Wuyuan County to govern the main part of the original county; the establishment of the Management Committee of the industrial park has stripped a large part of the jurisdiction of Ziyang town; although Ziyang town retains the original system, its main jurisdiction is the rural areas outside the urban area of the old Ziyang town.
It is worth noting that Ziyang town is no longer the seat of Wuyuan County, but it still plays an important role in the development and urban expansion of Wuyuan.
