Matoushan Town, subordinate to Zixi County, Fuzhou City, Jiangxi Province, is located in the northeast of Zixi County, bordering Hecheng town in the East, Gaofu town in the South and Lengshui town in Guixi City in the north. Covering an area of 254.8 square kilometers, the town governs 1 community, 13 administrative villages and 101 village groups. In late 2018, the population of Ma Tou Shan town had 11 thousand and 900 registered residence population.

Matoushan town is the birthplace of Zixi bread and Zixi white tea. There are more than 10 kinds of characteristic agricultural products, such as honey, tea, Xiayang tofu, organic rice, small sweet potato and vegetables. History of construction

In the early days of the people's Republic of China, the territory was divided into Matoushan Township, Changping Township, Hushi Township and Yongsheng township; in 1958, Matoushan Township, Changping Township, Hushi Township and Yongsheng Township were merged into Matoushan commune and raoqiao commune; in 1984, Matoushan commune and raoqiao commune were changed into Matoushan Township and raoqiao town; in 2001, Matoushan Township and raoqiao town were merged to form Matoushan town.
