Gugang Township
Gugang Township, subordinate to Le'an County, Fuzhou City, Jiangxi Province, is located in the southeast of Le'an County, adjacent to Yihuang County in the East, Jinzhu she Township in the south, Nancun Township in the west, and Aoxi town and Xiangshan town in Chongren County in the north. Gugang township is 26 kilometers away from Le'an County, surrounded by mountains, with a total area of 161.2 square kilometers. It governs 10 administrative villages and 95 village groups. In late 2018, the registered residence of 15 thousand and 600 people was in the valley.
The main agricultural and sideline products are rice, soybean, sweet potato, fresh fish, Lentinus edodes, Auricularia auricula, winter bamboo shoots, Ming bamboo shoots, bamboo shoots and live pigs. Historical evolution
Before the founding of the people's Republic of China, most of the villages belonged to Chongren county.
In April 1950, Chongren County designated a part of the villages into Taiping Sixth District under the jurisdiction of Le'an County; in the winter of 1958, gugang commune was established; in 1959, gugang commune merged with Nancun commune; in 1960, gugang comprehensive reclamation farm was established; in the winter of 1961, gugang commune was established; in May 1984, gugang commune was renamed gugang township.

History and culture
During the second Civil Revolutionary War, xiaojinzhu in gugang township was the seat of the Central Soviet County Committee of chongyile. During the fourth counter campaign against "encirclement and suppression" in the central revolutionary base, Zhou Enlai, Zhu De, Wang Jiaxiang and other revolutionaries of the older generation led the first, third and Fifth Corps of the Chinese workers' and peasants' Red Army to a great victory in Huangpi, and dengxianqiao was one of the main battlefields.
