Liancheng Township, subordinate to Linchuan District, Fuzhou City, Jiangxi Province, is located in the west of Linchuan District, connecting Chonggang town in the East, Hebu town in the south, Qiuxi town and Shangdundu town in the West and Shangdundu town in the north. With an area of 49 square kilometers, it has jurisdiction over 12 administrative villages, 94 villager groups and 64 natural villages. History of construction
In the Qing Dynasty, the township belonged to the 32nd and 54th capitals of Yingxiu Township, Chongren county.
During the period of the Republic of China, it was under the jurisdiction of Qiuxi Township, the Second District of Chongren County; in 1949, it belonged to Liancheng Township, the Second District of Chongren county (six natural villages including Houchang belonged to Qiuxi township).
After the founding of the people's Republic of China, it still belongs to the Second District of Chongren County, which is divided into three townships: Liancheng Xiacheng and Shetou (some natural villages belong to Yuanshi Township and Maling township); in 1958, it belongs to Qiuxi commune of Chongren County; in 1961, it established Liancheng commune and Daqiao commune; in 1968, it was incorporated into Qiuxi commune; in 1969, it was transferred into Linchuan county with Qiuxi commune; in 1973, it was transferred from Qiuxi commune to chenglilian county In May 1984, Liancheng commune was renamed Liancheng township.
