Xiangong town
Xiangong Town, belonging to Chencang District, Baoji City, Shaanxi Province, is located in the northwest of Chencang District. It is connected with Jiacun town in the East, Jinhe township of Jintai District in the south, Xiangquan town in the west, Xinjie town and Chengguan town of Qianyang County in the north. The maximum distance from east to west is 15.5 km, and the maximum distance from north to south is 17 km, with a total area of 262 square kilometers.
As of June 2020, Xiangong town has 21 villages (residences), including 1 community and 20 administrative villages. As of 2018, the registered residence of County town was 44073. In 2011, the total agricultural output value and industrial output value of Xiangong town were 210 million yuan and 505 million yuan respectively. Historical evolution
Located in the first town in the south of Longxian County, it was named Xiantou town in the Yuan Dynasty and evolved into Xiangong town in the Qing Dynasty.
In the Eastern Han Dynasty, there was a market town in kaimi county.
In the later Wei Dynasty, it was renamed changshe county.
Sui kaihuang eighteen years (598), changed to Wushan County.
In the second year of Shangyuan (761), it was renamed Huashan county.
In 1276, Wushan County was merged into Qianyuan county. Later, it was renamed "Xiantou town" and evolved into Xiangong town.
From 1912 to September 1958, it was under the jurisdiction of Longxian county.
In November 1958, Xiangong commune (county level) was established, and Xiangong commune, Shangwang commune and shuangbaiyang commune were under the management of Xiangong commune.
In September 1961, after the county system was restored, it was put under the jurisdiction of Baoji County, and factory communes were established respectively. County Gong governed 19 production teams, Shangwang 10 production teams, and shuangbaiyang 10 production teams.
In August 1966, it was renamed Bayi, Weidong and Tuanjie commune respectively.
In March 1970, the original name was restored.
In April 1984, Xiangong was changed into a town, with 19 administrative villages under its jurisdiction. Shangwang and shuangbaiyang were changed into townships, with 10 administrative villages under their respective jurisdiction.
In December 2001, Shangwang Township and shuangbaiyang Township were abolished and merged into Xiangong Town, with 39 administrative villages under its jurisdiction.
In October 2005, anchanggou village was abolished and merged into Taoyuan village. Xinyao village was abolished and merged into Antai village.
In November 2008, songjiashan village was withdrawn and merged into Chenjiazui village; anjiashan village was withdrawn and merged into fengjiazhuang village; Yangjiaping village was withdrawn and merged into Chenjiazhuang village; Guojiazhuang village was withdrawn and merged into xiaojiashizi village; Kuantan village was withdrawn and merged into yaojiaya village. After the village was merged, 32 administrative villages were under the jurisdiction of the town.
