Shangdundu Town, subordinate to Linchuan District, Fuzhou City, Jiangxi Province, is located in the west central part of Linchuan District, bordering Chonggang town in the East, Hebu Township in the south, Wenquan Town in the west, Fubei town and Chengxi street in the north. With an area of 69.6 square kilometers, it has jurisdiction over 13 communities and 22 administrative villages. History of construction
In the early days of the founding of the people's Republic of China, it belonged to Longjin Town of five districts; in 1958, Shangdundu commune was established; in 1960, Shangdundu commune separated out Hexi commune and Shantou commune, and Shangdundu commune was changed into Shangdundu commune; in 1968, Hexi commune, Shantou commune and Shangdundu commune were merged into Shangdundu commune; in 1979, Zhangshe commune, Hexi commune were separated, and Shangdundu commune was changed into Shangdundu commune In November 2001, Hexi Township and Hedong Township were merged into Shangdundu town.

Famous people
Wang Yue (1487-1544), a native of Zhangshe Village (now Shangdundu town) in Hedong of Ming Dynasty, was a Jinshi in 1487. He served as magistrate of Pingyang County in Wenzhou. The old custom of "marrying a daughter must be expensive, and burying a stone must be a high tomb" was broken. More than 60 temples were destroyed to build a social school. He promoted the censor, went to the Soviet Union and pines, and then to Huguang. The wind was so severe that the ink clerks watched the wind. Transfer to Yunnan Deputy envoy. When his mother died, he died with grief. He was fifty-seven years old.
Zhou kongziao (1548-1613), named Mingxing and huailu, was born in Hedong township (now Shangdundu town) of Linchuan in Ming Dynasty. Zhou kongziao was clever, brilliant and quick in thinking. Xu Yongqi (1877-1959), also known as Jinxian, was born in Shangdundu. Xuantong first year (1909) examination in the Qing Dynasty at the end of the withdrawal of tribute, by Gaofeng, his teacher to help silver 200 yuan banquet to celebrate, so famous in the local. At that time, the Qing government was on the verge of collapse. Instead of going to Beijing to seek an official position, it did business at home and got financial support from its eldest son-in-law. It successively operated the nitrate and sulphuric acid Bureau, grain processing and sales, etc. During the northern expedition, he sent his second son to take part in the revolutionary army to Nansheng, and his family went to Shanghai for a temporary stay. Two years later, he went back to his hometown to do business. He built many houses in Shangdundu and donated money to participate in a number of public welfare undertakings, such as the floating bridge connecting Waihe street and Hexi street, and the baby care bureau which adopted abandoned babies and paid regular maintenance fees. In 1937, Peiji primary school was set up to alleviate the difficulty of children's enrollment at that time. During the Anti Japanese War, affected by the war, their businesses closed down one after another. After liberation, all the family property was confiscated, but no bad deeds were found and no sentence was given. He died in Shangdundu in September 1959.
