Historical evolution

Named after the resident village. Before liberation, it was a part of Youchao, Shitang and Shuangjiang. At the beginning of liberation, it was a part of Youchao Township in Rongjiang District, Shuangjiang Township and Shitang Township in TANKOU District, and Taihe Township in Taihe District during the period of cooperation. In 1958, it belonged to Gaofeng commune. In the following year, it was separated from Gaofeng commune. In 1968, it was merged into pingtian commune. In 1972, it was separated from pingtian commune.
