Luodu Miao township is located in the middle and south of Gongxian County, 75 kilometers away from the county. It is adjacent to caoying Township in the East, luobiao town in the south, Leyi Township in Junlian County in the West and Shangluo town in the north. Covering an area of 40.95 square kilometers, it has jurisdiction over 10 administrative villages, 67 agricultural communities and 1 village resident group. The total population is 13257 (2017). Evolution of organizational system
Luodu Miao township was formerly known as "luoxingdu". The word "Luoxing" is a transliteration of the ancient Yi language.
