The origin of place names
In the early years of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty, people in Luwu village of Tangjiang built "seven shops" as the center, which gradually became a market and was known as taipingwei at that time. Because the polder is near Shangyoujiang River, and there is a passing pond in the polder. The pond and the river are connected, so the name of Tangjiang polder was given and gradually evolved into Tangjiang polder. In the 1930s, tangjiangwei was upgraded to Tangjiang town.
Folk customs
Tang River Customs: "Nan'an is slightly similar to Chu customs." It is known as "the land of refinement" for its simple customs and honest people. Tangjiang is the hometown of the sages. It is simple and peaceful, industrious in living and thrifty in food and clothing. The most beautiful part of Yu's custom is that there are no beggars in the market, and there are no poor children. The least beautiful part of Yu's custom is that he believes in witches and ghosts, such as fighting with others, drowning girls and being infertile, and clamping maidservants and not marrying This sums up the previous customs. After the founding of the people's Republic of China, great changes have taken place in various customs.
Gramineous seed
Tangjiang used to "point the seeds of rice" before and after Jingzhe. Sowing Zaohe, commonly known as "Dian Jing zhe", means that farmers prepare incense candles and paper money in the early morning to offer sacrifices to Tian Luo Bodhisattva and pray for a good harvest.
Makita
In the past, when farmers were planting fields, they had to ask the experts to "open the seedling tray" (that is, the skilled master was the first one to go down to the field and open the fields, and then ranked according to the technical level). After dilling, we should make "dilling wine", which is commonly known as "killing geese in dilling field, turning grass into grass". We think that if we treat people generously, the harvest will be good.
Try something new
After the early rice is harvested, eating new rice is called tasting new rice. In the old days, every household tastes new rice, buying pork, killing ducks, grinding new rice fruit, lighting candles to celebrate the Spring Festival.
Washing sickle
After the autumn harvest, the old farmers should prepare a banquet, please help the relatives and friends to eat, commonly known as "Xihe sickle". Most owners fry glutinous rice glutinous rice and brew good rice wine. Neiliang and Hedong are still very happy to send their relatives and friends the rice and fruit of Machi and Bajiao, which means the end of the whole year's farming and a good harvest for every family.
papermaking
In the past, in the Xiaoman period, the troughs in the paper shed and Baotou had to kill dogs or other animals and birds to sacrifice to the mountain. On the first and the 15th of the first day of the lunar new year, they "sacrificed their teeth.". In the mountains, no one can break the ban. If one person breaks the ban, everyone will have to stop work. The violator will be punished to buy fish, kill geese and ask for wine to eliminate the disaster. Paper shed workers should not wipe their buttocks with paper. When cutting bamboo, put the knots on the bamboo stump through. When pouring bamboo, the surface should be downward instead of upward.

Once upon a time, hunters wore straw hats in winter and summer, with scabbard around their waist and a knife inserted into their waist. If you get the prey, you will get double for the spear, and you can get one for everyone present. Before hunting, we should pay attention to the day and direction, and avoid "breaking the day" and "empty day".
