Rongbang Township
Rongbang township is located in the northwest edge of Baisha County, Hainan Province, bordering Yaxing Town, Hongling farm and Haitou town of Danzhou City in the East, North and West, Qishui village of Shilu town of Changjiang County in the southwest, and Bangxi town in the south. The township government is located next to furongtian farm. The West Haiyu line (National Highway 225) runs through it. It is 67 kilometers away from Yacha Town, where the county government is located. It is the most remote Township in the county. It is 13 kilometers away from the West Expressway (at the exit of Haitou overpass) and 25 kilometers away from Haitou town. There are Daling farm and furongtian farm in the township. By the end of 2017, the permanent population was 7454, which is a town inhabited by Li nationality.
Agricultural situation
More than 95% of the population in the township are engaged in agricultural production, which is a typical agricultural township. Agricultural production mainly depends on rubber, sugarcane and rice.

The whole township is high in the South and low in the north. The southern half of the township is hilly area, with dense slope, deep soil layer and fertile land. It is the main cultivated land. Daling is the highest in the territory (220.8 meters), and the lowest sea level in the north is 31 meters.

At the end of 2011, there were 5 administrative villages, including Guangcun, Erlang village, Lingwei village, Fuying village and Gaofeng village, with 31 villager groups and 19 natural villages, including 15 Li villages and 4 Han villages.

In the total population, there are 3863 males, accounting for 54.1%; 3274 females, accounting for 45.9%; 492 persons under 14 years old, accounting for 6.89%; 5376 persons between 15 and 64 years old, accounting for 75.32%; 498 persons over 65 years old, accounting for 6.97%. In the total population, 6527 people (91.46%) are Li nationality, and 610 people (8.54%) are Han nationality. In 2011, the birth rate was 15 ‰, the death rate was 4.8 ‰, and the natural growth rate was 14.5 ‰. At the end of 2011, the total population of the jurisdiction was 7137, of which 1180 were under 14 years old, accounting for 16.5%; 5459 were 15-64 years old, accounting for 76.5%; 498 were over 65 years old, accounting for 7%.

social undertakings
The township has a township level cultural station, a township level reading room, and a collection of nearly 10000 books. There is one staff member in the cultural station. The construction area of the cultural station is 40 square meters. At present, the stage is still under construction. Due to the weak financial resources of the township, the venues and facilities of cultural stations are relatively backward.
There is a junior middle school, a central primary school and four village primary schools in the township.
Evolution of organizational system
In ancient times, there was a "BINGBANG village" (Guangcun) in Rongbang Township, which was named after the Qing government's garrison in 1887. Later generations changed it to Rongbang according to Danzhou dialect.
Before liberation, Rongbang township was a nationality township. In April 1951, it was the third district of Danxian County, Guangdong Province (the district government was stationed in Haitou). In July 1955, the third district of Danxian county was renamed Haitou District, and Rongbang was subordinate to it. On August 10 of the same year, Rongbang township was separated from majaishi township. In 1956, it was assigned to Dongfang County, Guangdong Province. At the beginning of 1957, it was subordinate to Shilu District of Dongfang County, and the system was abolished. In March 1958, the system of Rongbang township was restored, and in October of the same year, it was separated from other districts Bangxi Township, Taishan farm and Bohai farm merged to form Hongfeng people's commune, which is subordinate to Hongfeng commune.
In 1961, dadongfang County disintegrated, Hongfeng commune was abolished, and Rongbang was transferred to Baisha County. At the end of 1968, Rongbang commune was established. In September 1983, Rongbang District Office was renamed to manage Guangcun, Lingwei and Erlang. In October 1986, it was renamed today. In April 1988, after Hainan Province was established, it has been subordinate to baishali Autonomous County of Hainan Province.
