Zhongguan town
Zhongguan Town, subordinate to Duchang County, Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province, is located in the east of Duchang County, bordering Xiangshuitan Township and yinbaohu township of Poyang County in the East, Nanfeng Township and Shishan Township in the south, Tutang town in the West and Mingshan Township in the north, 55 kilometers away from the county. The area is 51.3 square kilometers. In 2018, the number of registered residence in central town was 24876. By 2019, Zhongguan town has jurisdiction over one community and eight administrative villages.
In 2005, the local financial revenue of Zhongguan town was 1.055 million yuan, and the per capita net income of farmers was 2176 yuan. In 2018, there were 23 industrial enterprises in Zhongguan Town, including one enterprise above Designated Size and six comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.
Historical evolution
Before the founding of the people's Republic of China, it belonged to Changlong township of Linhu district.
In the early days of the founding of the people's Republic of China, it belonged to 12 districts.
In 1956, it belonged to Tutang district.
In 1958, the district was withdrawn and Changlong Township and Shishan Township were merged into Shuangqiao township.
In 1959, Shuangqiao people's commune was established, with the residence of Yu Jiayi.
In 1962, it was divided into Shuangqiao people's Commune and Shishan people's commune.
In 1968, Shuangqiao people's Commune and Shishan people's commune were merged.
In 1972, it was divided into Shuangqiao people's Commune and Shishan people's commune again, and moved to Zhongguan street.
In May 1984, Shuangqiao people's commune was established. In August of the same year, Shuangqiao people's commune was renamed Zhongguan township.
In July 1992, the township was withdrawn and the town was built.
