Minshan Forest Farm

Minshan forest farm is located in the southwest of Chaisang District, Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province, at the junction of De'an County. Minshan forest farm is a state-owned forest farm. Its staff have high cultural quality, simple folk customs and stable society. It is a good investment office.

Founded in September 1956, it was initially named state-owned Minshan forest farm of Jiangxi Province, which was under the management of De'an County and subordinate to the provincial forestry department. In March 1957, it was transferred to Chaisang district. In February 1958, it was expanded to state-owned Minshan forest, animal husbandry and farmers comprehensive reclamation farm. In November 1968, it was withdrawn and changed to Minshan people's society. In November 1975, it was separated from Minshan commune and established state-owned Chaisang district Minshan forest farm. There are 5 sub farms, 1 tree farm and 3 villagers' groups in charge, with a population of 166 (in 2010). Minshan forest farm is rich in resources, with mountain forest area of 32500 mu, forest area of 19600 mu, including 1782 mu of Cunninghamia lanceolata forest area, volume of 15291 cubic meters, volume of 11460 cubic meters. The area of barren mountain to be developed is 12900 mu. Mangosteen covers an area of 1200 mu, thus establishing a sendi bamboo products factory. Minshan forest farm is also rich in water resources. A Yuhe river runs through the whole Minshan forest farm. The river water is clear and flows continuously throughout the year.
