Hanjia street, belonging to Pengshui Miao and Tujia Autonomous County of Chongqing, is located in the southwest of Pengshui Miao and Tujia Autonomous County, adjacent to Yandong Township and Baojia town in the East, wanzu town in the south, Shaoqing street in the west, Ping'an town and longshe town in the north, 0.3km away from Pengshui Miao and Tujia Autonomous County Government, covering an area of 189.73km2.
In 1932, Hanjia town was established; in November 2011, Hanjia street was established from Hanjia Town, and Changtan township was merged into Hanjia street. In 2020, the total population of Hanjia Street will be 127161. As of June 2020, Hanjia street has jurisdiction over 12 communities and 8 administrative villages, and its sub district office is located in nanmendong.

History of construction
Hanjia street is named because it is located in the ancient Han Dynasty, which is rich in Jiacao.
In 1932, Hanjia town was established. In 1933, it was changed to the first district. In 1946, it was transferred to the fourth guidance area.
In 1949, it was divided into the fourth district.
In January 1954, the fourth district was changed to Hanjia Town, the first district.
In May 1956, the first district was renamed Hanjia District, which still belongs to Hanjia town.
In February 1975, Hanjia town was transferred from Hanjia district to County town directly under the central government.
In November 2011, Hanjia town was divided into two parts with Wujiang River as the boundary, Hanjia street and Shaoqing street were established, and Changtan township was merged into Hanjia street.
