Xiadang Township
Xiadang Township, subordinate to Shouning County, Ningde City, Fujian Province, is located in the west of Shouning County, at the junction of two provinces and three counties. It borders Tuoxi Township and Qinyang Township in the East, Pingxi Township in the south, Chengyuan Township in Zhenghe County in the west, Longxi Township in Qingyuan County in Zhejiang Province in the northwest, and Tuoxi Township in the north. The total area is 64.97 square kilometers. In late 2018, 7084 people registered residence in the lower Party township.
Xiadang Township, formerly known as Dangchuan, was named after the continuous flow of streams. Xiadang village is named because its terrain is lower than Shangdang village and the township government is stationed in Xiadang village. At noon on July 19, 1989, comrade Xi Jinping, Secretary of the Ningde prefectural Party committee of Fujian Province, went to the lower Party township to conduct a field investigation. In July 26, 1989 and August 7, 1996, comrade Xi Jinping went to the lower Party for the two time to coordinate and solve the problem of the construction and development of the next party. In August 4, 2019, general secretary Xi Jinping sent a letter to the lower Party township to congratulate the lower Party township to shake off poverty. In the December 31, 2019 New Year's greetings, general secretary Xi Jinping once again mentioned the lower Party township. As of June 2020, Xiadang township has 10 administrative villages, namely Dang, Shangdang, Xishan, caokeng, xiapingfeng, Gelong, yangxitou, Beikeng, beikengshan and ganghou.

Historical evolution
Tang Wude six years (623 years), belongs to Changxi county. Song Zhenghe five years (1115), belong to Zhenghe County. Ming Jingtai six years (1455), belongs to Shouning County Government and in Badu two map Liujia.

In July 1949, Shouning County People's government was established; in August of the same year, it belonged to Pingxi district; in October of the same year, it belonged to Pingxi Township, the third district (Pingxi).

In December 1987, Xiadang township was set up with five villagers' committees, namely Xiadang, Shangdang, Xishan, yangxitou and Beikeng in Pingxi Township, xiapingfeng villagers' committee in Qinyang Township, and three natural villages, namely caokeng, post and laid-off villages in Tuoxi township.

Xiadang township is located in the west of Shouning County, at the junction of two provinces and three counties. It borders Tuoxi Township and Qinyang Township in the East, Pingxi Township in the south, Chengyuan Township in Zhenghe County in the west, Longxi Township in Qingyuan County in Zhejiang Province in the northwest and Tuoxi Township in the North. The maximum distance from east to west is 11.35 kilometers, and the maximum distance from north to south is 10.15 kilometers, with a total area of 64.97 square kilometers.

Xiadang township is composed of mountain, hill and valley basin. The terrain is high in the northwest and low in the southeast. The main mountain ranges are Donggong mountain range and its remaining veins. Wang Jiangjian, the highest peak in the territory, is located in the northwest of Libei Kengtou village, with an altitude of 1321 meters, and xiapingfeng village, the lowest point, with an altitude of 341 meters.

There are Xiadang River, Beikeng River, Shangdang River and xiashandi River in Xiadang township. The largest river in the territory is xiadangxi, from yangxitou village to xiapingfeng village, flowing through yangxitou, Beikeng, Beikeng mountain, Xiadang, caokeng, Xishan and xiapingfeng, with a length of 20 km. The main tributaries are Beikeng stream, Shangdang stream, singhe stream, xiashandi stream, caokeng stream, Baiyan stream, etc.
