Jianxi town

Jianxi town is located in the southeast of Shunchang County, 22.5km away from the county seat, originated from the original Jianxi county. Jianxi county was established in 1964, which is the meaning of Jianou Western Forest County. In 1970, the county was withdrawn and merged into Shunchang, Jianxi town was established in 1976, and yuanjihui township was merged into Jianxi town in April 2006.

It now governs nine administrative villages and a central neighborhood committee, covering an area of 130 square kilometers (2017), with a population of 12896 (2017).

Jianxi town is an important industrial town in Shunchang County. Jianxi bamboo and wood processing park of Shunchang County was established in May 2001. By the end of 2006, there were 39 enterprises in the park, including 26 bamboo and wood processing enterprises. It has become an important bamboo and wood processing base in the county, and has formed a provincial agricultural industrialization Longtou enterprise led by Hengya flooring Co., Ltd. of Shunchang County.

There are many cultural relics in Jianxi Town, including the charity temple built in the 12th year of Yongzheng, Ruiyun temple built in the 13th year of Yongzheng, Jinfeng temple built in the 8th year of Qianlong, Wanfu temple built in the 12th year of Guangxu, Qingyun hall built in the 15th year of Guangxu, Linshui palace built in the 29th year of Daoguang, Xinglong bridge built in the 13th year of Tongzhi, Zhenxiang tower (Hushan tower) built in 1875. Among them, Zhenxiang tower is a county-level cultural relic, and in front of the gate of Ruiyun temple, there is a thousand year old tree, luohansong, under state protection. The grand Long'an temple and Taiqing Palace are built on the East peak and the South Stream of the town respectively. Xuefeng mountain is 587.5 meters above sea level. Jianxi town is a place of outstanding talents. During the Song Dynasty, Wu Heilong, a Taiwei, was a member of the family of ketou village, Jianxi town. In Wu Taiwei's hometown, the memorial hall of Wu gongtaiwei is still intact. There are statues of gods in the hall, and the incense is constantly burning. The descendants still maintain the worship of their ancestors.

Xietun village in Jianxi town is an old revolutionary base. On August 28, 1933, the soldiers of a battalion of the fourth division of the Oriental army, led by commander Bao and instructor Jiang Weimin, entered Xietun from Yangkou. Then the 11th regiment of the fourth division of the Oriental army also entered Xietun to mobilize the masses and publicize the agrarian revolution. On the basis of fighting against local tyrants and dividing fields, the peasant association and the Soviet government were established, and the Red Army guerrillas were formed to strengthen the revolutionary forces. At that time, seven people including Zu rongnu joined the Red Army and went north with the army. At that time, Zu rongnu, a soldier of the fifth company of the first battalion of the new regiment of the Red Army, died in a battle in Jiangxi.
