Zhangban town
Zhangban town is located in the southeast corner, bordering tuzhai town in the northeast, Quanzhou Bay in the south, Shanxia town in the East, Luoyang Town in the northwest and Dongyuan town in the West. It has jurisdiction over 31 village committees. The main surnames are Luo, sun, Huang and su. Zhangban town is the only way from Quanzhou to Chongwu. From Quanzhou to Chongwu, the ancient Buddhism road goes from Luoyang, Mashan, Dongyuan, through ciyuandou, PUTANG, houbian, cunxia, Tianzhong, sukeng of the town, from west to East, and then to Chongwu ancient city through dongxiakeng and Chihu. Fushan city on Rex cave Island, facing Chongwu, Liancheng, Xiaoyi, Fengwei and Shishi Xiangzhi across the sea, is an important coastal defense area in ancient China and one of the trade ports with Taiwan. Neiyin mountain, 250.7 meters above sea level, is the highest peak in the town.
In 2017, the administrative area was 7800 hectares, with 77281 permanent residents.
Meaning of place names
In 1436, Luo Yiyuan, the sixth ancestor of the Luo family, moved from xiadai village of Dongyuan town to zhangban village. Because the village is located on the slope of Haixi, it is named zhangban, and its pseudonym is still used today. The people's Government of zhangban town is located in the village, so it is named zhangban town by the name of the village where the government is located.

Zhangban town is located in the southeast of Hui'an County, Quanzhou, Fujian Province, 14.2 kilometers away from the county. It has 31 village committees: zhangban, Banshan, Xiamei, Tangyuan, Houzeng, Yutang, Yutian, Yuyuan, houbian, cangxia, sukeng, shannei, Qunli, Shangtang, Mentou, Xiagong, Houcai, shanglun, Lianxin, Houjian, Qianjian, Chongshan, Qunxian, Mentou, Yucheng, Huangling, Yuxia, Yushan, Yuqian and Fushan.
Zhangban town has a long history. Archaeological findings show that more than 3000 years ago, there was a primitive tribe living in Huian. In 686, Huang Shougong, the second son of Huang Shougong in Quanzhou City, lived in Huangtian, which is about 0.5 km in front of houbian village of zhangban Town, and became the ancestral home of Huang family in Hui'an. In Hong Kun's a new study of the Rex River in the Qing Dynasty, it was recorded that the Rex cave Island (also known as Fushan): "during the Tang, song and Yuan Dynasties, people were densely populated, and they all worked in the ocean, so it was called" Fu Sheng Yan "because it was transported to Tianjin by boat and car."
In the middle and late Tang Dynasty, zhangban area has become one of the areas in Southern Fujian with earlier development, more population and more developed economy and culture. According to the records of village genealogy, most villages in zhangban town were built in the song and Yuan Dynasties, while the village temples in the back and Fushan were built in the middle of the Tang Dynasty. In the middle and late Tang Dynasty, Hui, a monk of Lingyin Temple in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, crossed the sea to build Fushan temple on Rex cave island. In the Southern Song Dynasty, the monks and Taoists of Baisha Temple led the public to build a cross sea stone bridge from the northwest of Rex cave island to the south of qiantou mountain.

Historical evolution
Zhangban town belongs to Yexian in the Han Dynasty, Kuaiji in the Eastern Han Dynasty, Dong'an in the Three Kingdoms, Jin'an in the Jin Dynasty, Jinping in the song and Qi dynasties, Nan'an in the Liang and Chen dynasties, Quanzhou in the Sui Dynasty, wurongzhou in the Tang Dynasty, and Jinjiang in the Five Dynasties and early Song Dynasty. In the sixth year of the Taiping reign of Song Dynasty (981), after the sixteen Li East Township of Jinjiang was demolished and Huian County was established, it belonged to Anpu town of Huian County. In the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to Rex cave on the East Road of Hui'an County, Zhenan, Songshi and Chengyang shops on the South Road of Hui'an County.
In the 29th year of the Republic of China (1940), it belonged to Dongyuan Town, qunwu town and Hougang town; in the 35th year of the Republic of China (1946), it belonged to Dongyuan Town, Qingshan town and Hougang town. At the beginning of liberation, it belonged to the fourth and fifth districts of Hui'an County, and it was the Sixth District in 1952. In 1958, it belonged to zhangban management area of the upper people's commune. In 1961, it was changed into zhangban people's commune. In 1984, the commune was changed into a township. In 1990, it was changed from township to town.
Geography and climate
Zhangban town is a Coastal Hilly Area, high in the northwest and low in the southeast. Most of the mountains are east-west and southwest. Youyin mountain, 250.7 meters above sea level, is the highest peak in the town. Xueshan mountain is the lowest. The annual average temperature is 20.5 ℃, the daily maximum temperature is 37 ℃, the daily minimum temperature is 3 ℃, and the annual average rainfall is 1020 mm.
Zhangban town is rich in resources, including 25207 mu of cultivated land, 48000 mu of mountainous area, 5000 mu of salt field, 17462 mu of beach and 8000 mu of mountain forest. The main food production is sweet potato, and the main economic crops are peanut and soybean. Natural resources include granite, seafood and sea salt.
Transportation facilities
The traffic of zhangban town is convenient. The south line of Chongwu Quanzhou highway crosses the 14.2km Tonggang highway in zhangban, and the Hui (an) Fu (Shan), Hui (an) Cheng (Bian) and Hui (an) song (Shan) highways connecting National Highway 324 run through the mirror. The asphalt road from zhangban to sukeng, Rex cave, lunqian and Tangyuan is 64 km long and has been open to traffic for many years. The town has formed a modern road network extending in all directions.
After liberation, 39 sluice gates were built on five main streams, and one sluice gate with 11 holes and a clear span of 2.8 meters was built in the "July 1" reclamation area. There are more than 1 million cubic meters of ponds in the town, with a total water storage capacity of 1.7 million cubic meters. There are one primary and secondary electric irrigation station, 180 expanded wells, 5000 tons of daily water and one waterworks. The whole town has garbage cans, garbage collection points, fruit boxes and environmental protection personnel. Clean up the garbage transfer vehicles, and build two garbage transfer stations to deal with the garbage harmlessly.
economic development
Due to the unique natural conditions and continuous development, introduction, development and expansion, the town has formed five pillar industries, including aquaculture, golden wood carving, knitwear, shoes and stone.
Zhangban town is an important fishing town in Hui'an County. Aquaculture is the largest industry in the town. Seven villages, Chongshan, Yushan, Yuxia, Yuqian, Qianjian, Houjian and qiantou, are the fishing bases of the town, with an annual fish output of more than 10000 tons. After the completion of the "July 1" reclamation project in 1970, more than 17000 mu of cultivated land and water area will be increased, and more than 5000 mu of aquaculture will be developed. In addition to cooperating with Shanxia town to build a market outside the reclamation area, the town has developed more than 3000 mu of shrimp pond to cultivate shrimp, red paste crab, swimming crab, razor clam, grouper, safflower fish, sea cucumber and other seafood, becoming an important aquaculture base of Hui'an County.
Zhangban town makes great efforts to use seawater resources to obtain food market and develop salt industry. There are two Chengbian beach farms and "July 1" beach farms in the town, with many products, which have won the titles of "provincial excellent" and "Ministerial excellent"; Chengbian beach farm has also won the titles of "advanced enterprise" at the provincial and ministerial levels for many times.
Gold wood carving is a traditional craft of zhangban town. Its products enjoy a high reputation in the domestic and foreign markets, with an annual export transaction value of more than 300 million yuan. There are dozens of golden wood carving factories in the town, only 30 in Shangtang village. The main products are statue carving and imitation wood carving, which are exported to Japan, Southeast Asian countries and Taiwan Province.
Stone industry is another pillar industry of the town. The town's rock reserves of more than 100 million cubic meters, ranking first in the county. The quality of stone is good, and the hardness of square stone is more than 6 degrees. It is suitable for all kinds of engineering construction, such as wharf, harbor and so on. Stone origin in Yutang, Yuyuan, Yutian, houbian, cangxia and other mountains. There are more than 200 stone processing plants in the town. The products include stone plate, curb stone, stone Buddha statue, stone lion, stone lantern and stone tomb materials, which are exported to Japan, South Korea and Taiwan.
Zhangban town is also one of the three hometown of overseas Chinese in Hui'an County, with more than 110000 "three compatriots" living in Southeast Asia, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, which is 1.5 times the population of their hometown. They love their hometown and actively support their economic construction.

There are four junior high schools in the town, namely zhangban middle school, Huinan experimental middle school, binshan middle school and Lujiang middle school, 19 complete primary schools, namely central, zhangban, Jinxi, Mentou, Houzeng, shannei, sukeng, Lianshan, Yibin, Yanshou, Lujiang, Yuxia, Yushan, Yucheng, lunqian, Qunxian, Qunli, Le'an, Xiamei, and one kindergarten, namely zhangban central kindergarten. The enrollment rate of primary school and junior high school is more than 99%, which provides manpower guarantee for the economic construction of hometown in the future.

Zhangban township has a zhangban Township Health Center in the 1960s, which is a non-profit general hospital integrating medical treatment, prevention and health care. The hospital covers an area of about 4 mu, with a total construction area of about 5000 square meters. At present, there are 60 employees, including 9 with intermediate title and 51 with junior title. There are Pediatrics, comprehensive ward, surgery, obstetrics and Gynecology, orthopedics and traumatology of traditional Chinese medicine, prevention and protection department, X-ray room, B-ultrasound ECG room, laboratory, pharmacy, charge and other departments.
