Mawei Town, subordinate to Mawei District, Fuzhou City, Fujian Province, is located in the southeast of Fuzhou City. The terrain is high in the northwest and low in the southeast. The highest peak in the territory is chayang mountain, 777 meters above sea level. Minjiang River is 6.5 km along the coast of Mawei town. Mawei wharf is 35 kilometers away from the estuary, 19.6 kilometers away from Fuzhou City, and 60 kilometers away from Fuzhou Changle International Airport. The area is 53.63 square kilometers.
