Bozhou economic and Technological Development Zone
Anhui Bozhou high tech Industrial Development Zone is a provincial development zone approved by Anhui Provincial People's Government in 1993. In July 2013, it was approved by the provincial government to integrate with the former southern New District of Bozhou City. Located in the southeast of the main urban area of Bozhou City, the park is located in the hinterland of the demonstration area for the coordinated development of the four modernizations of the Central Plains economy. It is known as "the key to the Central Plains and the thoroughfare to the north and South". It is the forefront of the joint development of the Central Plains Economic Zone and the Yangtze River Delta economic circle. At present, the administrative area of the park is 147 square kilometers, with a resident population of more than 200000. Bozhou high tech Zone is located in the south of the downtown area. Beijing Kowloon Railway, Jinan Guangzhou expressway, national highway 105 and provincial highway 307 pass through the zone.
Introduction to the Development Zone
Bozhou is located in the northwest of Anhui Province, the junction of Jiangsu, Shandong, Henan and Anhui provinces, and the hinterland of Huang Huai plain, with flat and open terrain and beautiful natural scenery. It is a national historical and cultural city and an excellent tourist city in China. Bozhou has convenient transportation. It is 60 km away from Shangqiu airport and 120 km away from Fuyang airport. Beijing Kowloon Railway, Xufu railway, national highways 311 and 105, national defense highway 0908, provincial highways 202, 305 and 307, Beijing Jingjing Expressway and Jiefu Bengbu Expressway cross the territory. There are more than 20 varieties of genuine Chinese medicinal materials, such as "BoShao, Boju, Bofen, bosangpi". After the market renovation and the transformation of software and hardware in recent years, it has the largest, best facilities and the highest grade professional market of Chinese herbal medicine in China.
Bozhou high tech Industrial Development Zone is a provincial development zone approved by the people's Government of Anhui Province. The development zone is dominated by outward oriented economy and high-tech industry, focusing on the development of high-tech industry of traditional Chinese medicine and modern industry, and supporting the development of high-grade three industry service industry. The scale infrastructure of the development zone and the first batch of projects entering the zone are under construction.
Development and evolution
It was established with the approval of the provincial government in 1993.
In July 2013, in order to further integrate resources, the former Bozhou economic development zone and the new Southern District of the city were merged to establish a new Bozhou Economic Development Zone, with an administrative jurisdiction area of 100 square kilometers.
In May 2018, with the approval of the municipal Party committee, some villages (communities) of Qiaodong Town, some villages (communities) of tangling street and 19li town of Qiaocheng district were included in the economic development zone of the city, with an adjusted area of 47 square kilometers. After the adjustment, the actual administrative jurisdiction is 147 square kilometers (including 34 square kilometers of Bowu Industrial Park), and the permanent resident population is about 200000.
In early December 2018, Bozhou Economic Development Zone submitted the application for upgrading Bozhou high tech Industrial Development Zone to the general office of the provincial government, which was approved on January 8, 2019.
On January 8, 2019, Anhui provincial government officially approved Bozhou Economic Development Zone to be renamed Bozhou high tech Industrial Development Zone.

International Modern Chinese medicine high tech Industrial Park
The construction project of the park has been approved by the Provincial Planning Commission and listed in the "Tenth Five Year" development plan of Anhui Province. It is the core Park of Bozhou economic and Technological Development Zone. The construction goal of the park is to transform and upgrade the traditional Chinese medicine industry with high and new technology, and build the park into an international modern high-tech industrial city of traditional Chinese medicine. Development priorities: first, to build a modern Chinese medicine distribution center; second, to establish a modern Chinese medicine research and development center in cooperation with relevant scientific research institutes, colleges and professional companies; third, to build a modern production and processing base for Chinese medicine preparations.
