Bangang town

Bangang Town, belonging to Yingshang County, Fuyang City, Anhui Province, is located in the south of Yingshang and the North Bank of Huaihe River. It is adjacent to Runhe town and Guantun Township in the west, Chuigang Township in the East, Sanhu town and balihe town in the north, and Huoqiu County across Huaihe River in the south. It covers an area of 71 square kilometers, with 44250 mu of arable land. It has jurisdiction over 13 villagers' committees, 238 villagers' groups, 102 natural villages, and a permanent population of 40709 (in 2017). The main ethnic groups are Han and Hui.

The terrain of the town is high in the northwest and low in the southeast, with the highest altitude of 28.5 meters and the lowest altitude of 18.3 meters. In the south, along the North Bank of the Huaihe River, from west to East, there are small fishing grounds, qiujiahu lake, miaoxiwa lake and daijiahu lake, which are part of the flood storage area in the middle reaches of the Huaihe River. The Qingnian river is 10 kilometers long and flows into the balihe River from west to East. It is the largest drainage and irrigation channel in the town. Bangang town has four distinct seasons, mild climate, annual average temperature of 15.1 ℃, annual average frost free period of 221 days, annual average sunshine of 2213 hours, annual average precipitation of 940 mm, mostly concentrated in July to September, which is conducive to crop growth.

The south part of bangang town is Sandy and silting soil with fertile soil, which is suitable for planting wheat, soybean, peanut, etc. In the flood storage area, there are 19500 mu of natural grassland, which provides superior conditions for the development of animal husbandry in our town. The northern part is flat and is one of the main rice producing areas in Yingshang County. It is a green food production base with the certificate of "China green food brand". In recent years, we have improved the water conservancy supporting projects, established 49 large and small power irrigation and drainage stations, with a total installed capacity of 1386 kW, realized irrigation in dry land, drainage in waterlogging, and ensured the stable increase of agricultural income.
