Shunshan town
Shunshan town is located 10 kilometers north of Laian County, Chuzhou City, Anhui Province, with a total area of 133.38 square kilometers and a permanent population of 28305 (2017). There are 23 type II reservoirs, one state-owned forest farm and one state-owned tea farm. Agricultural industrialization has begun to take shape, with linqiao village as the leading flower base and paozui village as the main hybrid rice seed production base. It is rich in mineral resources, with proven reserves of more than 30 million tons and prospective reserves of several hundred million tons. It is one of the most abundant areas of potash feldspar in Anhui Province. Rich in tourism resources, it was named "the best tourism town in Anhui Province" in 2009. The town has formed three tourism plates (Egret Island International eco-tourism resort, linqiao eco agricultural tourism area, shunge Mountain Buddhist culture area).
The Party committee and government of shunshan town have established the development strategy of "building the town by agriculture, strengthening the town by industry, prospering the town by tourism and enriching the town by commerce", and strive to build shunshan into a strong tourism town in Anhui Province and a tourist resort in Chuzhou City.

Lai'an county governs the town. Located in the north of the county, it is connected with Xin'an town in the southeast, Nanqiao District of Chuzhou City in the West and Mingguang City in the north. It covers an area of 133.38 square kilometers. The resident population was 28305 (2017). It has jurisdiction over 10 administrative villages. The town government is located in shunshanji, 11 kilometers away from the county. Scenic spots are Egret Island, peacock temple and so on.

Shunshan township was established in 1949, commune in 1958 and township in 1984. In 1992, shunshan Township and fuxingji Township were merged into shunshan township. In 1996, it covers an area of 123.2 square kilometers and has a population of 33000. It governs 17 administrative villages, including Yantai, shunshan, Daan, Guanying, shigu, linqiao, Tangzhuang, Hongwei, gengying, Qinshu, Yangma, Sanwan, LIULANG, Liangtian, Lianshan, Fuxing and Lingtang. In 2000, there were 18444 people in shunshan Township and 14035 people in fuxingji township (all permanent residents of Wupu). In 2007, shunshan township was abolished and shunshan town was established. It has jurisdiction over 20 villages with an area of 148.5 square kilometers and a population of 36645 (including 7695 non-agricultural population and 860 floating population). The town government is stationed in shunshan (the former shunshan township government).

Climate and environment
Shunshan town has a subtropical humid climate, with an average annual temperature of 15 ℃, relative humidity of 77%, annual rainfall of 995mm and frost free period of 220 days. Shunshan town is rich in water resources. There are two small type I reservoirs, two county reservoirs of 4 million cubic meters, one reservoir of 100 million cubic meters, and 105 dams of 20000 cubic meters. The total amount of available water is 60 million cubic meters. The soil structure is fine orange white soil.
agricultural development
The agricultural industrialization of shunshan town has begun to take shape with remarkable characteristics. The 10000 mu flower and tree base with linqiao village as the leader is a typical ecological agricultural base, which is the area with the richest flower and tree resources and the most species in East Anhui. In addition, 4000 mu of commercial vegetable base, 3000 mu of plastic film fresh corn and peanut base, and 3000 mu of small forest fruit (peach, apricot, plum and cherry) base have not only formed a scale, but also achieved obvious economic benefits.
Mineral resources
Shunshan town is rich in mineral resources and reserves. The feldspar phenocrysts of monzonitic porphyry granite have proved more than 30 million tons of feldspar reserves and hundreds of millions of tons of prospective reserves, which is one of the most abundant areas of potash feldspar in Anhui Province.

Shunshan town is rich in natural tourism resources with various types, including mountain, water, cave, spring, island and temple. Green tourism resources include Egret Island International eco-tourism resort, linqiao ecological park, 40000 Mu forest, thousand mu tea garden, etc. The historical and cultural resources of shunshan town include peacock temple, Ditang tomb site, Zunsheng temple, Zhongli ancient road, Jinling ancient post road, Shigushan ancient battlefield site and shunge mountain, which is said to be famous for Emperor Shun's traveling here and singing with woodcutters. There are ten thousand mu of forest in the territory, and the Lianzi mountain reservoir, which is called "Taiping Lake in the east of Anhui", is surrounded by beautiful scenery. Ten thousand egrets live here in spring and summer, and the scene is magnificent. The Da'an Temple site donated by Cao Xueqin, a great writer of Qing Dynasty, is still in Da'an mountain. The peacock temple, a famous temple in the north of the Yangtze River, is quiet and comfortable. In 2007, shunshan town was named "tourism town" in Anhui Province. There are three tourism blocks in the town, namely: Bailu island ecological leisure resort, linqiao ecological agriculture sightseeing park and shunge Mountain Buddhist culture area.
