Nicha town
Nicha town is a town under the jurisdiction of Wuwei City in Anhui Province. It is located in the southeast of Wuwei City, adjacent to the Yangtze River in the East, a strip of water with Fanchang County, Gaogou Town, one of the four major cable bases in China in the south, YAOGOU town in the West and Fudu town in the north. The total area is 123.49 square kilometers (2017), with 69360 mu of arable land and 5000 mu of water surface.
The territory is flat, all villages are plains, Wuwei levee lies in the southeast of the territory, with a length of 14.2 km, which is the main traffic road to and from the mud branch. Gaoxin Avenue is about 12.5 km long. The Yangtze River flows through Nicha for 12 kilometers, where channel catfish, puffer fish and shad are abundant.

In February 1992, new Nicha town was composed of Nicha Town, Sanxi Township and Shentang Township in Nicha district. The town government was stationed in the development zone of Nicha Dujiang industrial zone. In May 2002, with the approval of the county government, Xinxing administrative village (hereinafter referred to as Village) and huangba village were merged into Xinxing village, street and Nicha village were merged into community, and Zaohe village and Yongxing village were merged into Zaohe village. Industry and Commerce
The development of township enterprises in Nicha town has gone through three stages. In the 1980s, there were a number of potential enterprises such as plastics, leather, jewelry crafts and electronic control factories. In the 1990s, the development of township enterprises entered a low ebb. Since the end of the 1990s, the refractory factory has developed rapidly, with an annual output of 6000 tons. The products are sold to Shanghai, Jiangsu, Ma'anshan and other places, with a sales volume of 80 million yuan and a profit of 7 million yuan in 2005.
Agriculture
In 1985, rice, rape and wheat were the main crops, including 60084 mu of rice and 3988 mu of cotton. In 1988, the planting structure was adjusted. In that year, the cotton planting area accounted for 20% of the total cultivated land. By 1992, the cotton planting area of the town reached 50000 Mu, accounting for 80% of the total area of the town. Forestry
From 1999 to 2003, Nicha town used both sides of Wuwei dyke and reed pond in Inner dyke to implement key forestry projects represented by returning farmland to forest, with an area of 1575 mu. The forest area increased from less than 750 mu in 1985 to 4200 mu in 2005.

The general planning of Nicha town and village was approved by the county government in August 1994, and the general planning of Nicha town and village from 2000 to 2010 was approved by the county government in 1999. Nicha town seized the opportunity of new town development after the dike was broken in 1995. The new town is located in the inner side of Wuwei levee. In 1995, it was approved by the county government, with 35kV substation and Nicha ginning plant as its base. The new town has set up a cultural and educational center centered on Dajiang middle school. The planning area is 10 square kilometers, the planned built-up area is 4.78 square kilometers, with a population of 3000. The new town has financial, tax, supply and marketing, public security, courts, government, power supply, schools and private enterprises. The old town mainly focuses on road reconstruction and facade planning, and retains the vegetable market. The town was built by immigrants in September 1998 and finally in December 2002. It is located in the north of Dujiang New District of Nicha Town, covering an area of 200 mu and a construction area of 20000 square meters. It benefits 200 households and 2257 people, with an investment of 120 million yuan and a special government subsidy of 10000 yuan per household.

In 1990, the 20 km gravel road from wangfudu to Nicha was opened to traffic, ending the history of no traffic in Nicha. In 1995, the oil road from tugongci to Xiangan was opened to traffic, and there was only a section of oil road in Nicha for access. from 1995 to 1998, the construction of 66 km of village roads was invested by the government. In 2003, WuFan Road started construction, passing through nichacao River, Sanxi, Rixin, with a mileage of 11.5 km. the 5 km long Dujiang Avenue connecting Nicha market town to Dujiang industrial concentration area, with an investment of 20 million yuan, has completed subgrade works and is expected to open to traffic by the end of 2009.

Before 1984, there were only three irrigation and drainage stations in Nicha Town, including Nicha north station, Nicha Zaohe station and xiashanfan station. In 1998, Shuidu station was built and put into use. In 1996, Xingfu Zhou station was built and put into use. In 1999, Shentang station was built and put into use. By the end of 2005, there were six irrigation and drainage stations in the town. The water system in the town was unblocked, so as to achieve the goal of drainage and irrigation for flood and drought, and ensure the income of flood and drought.

The state investment was 1.96 million yuan, and the user raised 923000 yuan. At the same time, 2837 households in 5 villages were transformed into one household with one meter. After the transformation of rural power network, the line loss is reduced, and the same price for the same network is implemented. In 2005, the domestic lighting power consumption of the whole town was 4.224 million kwh, and the electricity price was 0.557 yuan / kWh, totaling 2.353 million yuan, which was 1.881 million yuan less than the electricity price of 1 yuan / kWh before the transformation, saving 90.2 yuan per household on average, bringing tangible benefits to the residents.
