Xiage town

Xiage town belongs to Chaohu City, Hefei City, Anhui Province. It is located on the North Bank of Chaohu, separated from the urban area by a mountain. It has the reputation of the north gate of Chaohu City. It is 56 ㎞ away from Hefei and 120 ㎞ away from Nanjing. It is located in the hinterland of "Golden Triangle" between Hefei, Nanjing and Wuhu and the center of Wanjiang economic development zone.

Xiage town is separated from a mountain of Chaohu City in the East, Suwan town in the north, zhegao town in the West and zhonglong town in the south. The total area of Xiage town is 184.27 square kilometers (2017), with a cultivated area of 64000 mu, a mountain farm of 60000 Mu and a permanent population of 56354 (2017). Xiage town has two neighborhood committees and 14 administrative villages. The town government is in Xiage. The main rivers are Xiage river. There is a memorial hall of general Feng Yuxiang's former residence in Zhuke village.

208 provincial road runs through the town from west to East and Xiage River from north to south, and Hechaowu expressway runs through the northwest of the town. The land road runs southward 10 ㎞ along 208 provincial road, connecting with Chaohu urban road network, forming an external traffic network extending in all directions; the waterway can directly reach the Yangtze River from Chaohu port to the sea.

Xiage township was established in 1949, commune in 1958 and town in 1982. Xifeng township was established in 1949, commune was established in 1958, township was changed in 1984, Xiatang township was merged into Xifeng Township in 1992. In 1996, Xiage town covers an area of 67.2 square kilometers and has a population of 24000. It governs 24 administrative villages including Zige, Sili, Dagao, Yanliu, Dajiao, Gaosun, chengziwei, Zhouwei, hengtan, Dazhu, zhanghang, Yangqi, Santang, Wangju, Nantang, LiuYe, Yuanshan, Zhuke, Wanshan, Jinyang, Shizui, Qingtai, Pingding and Damiao. Xifeng Township covers an area of 100.1 square kilometers and has a population of 39000 It has jurisdiction over 27 administrative villages including Daxia, Yuantong, bazikou, Laojin, Dapei, huamiaodi, Hetan, Ligang, bilaterally, Xiaowang, Weiqiao, Youfang, Keri, Longquan, Zhangliang, panzhang, Xichen, shangsun, Xiachen, Sulong, qianliu, Dahuang, Yangshan, Dushan, Xiayang, Zhanghua and Sugang. At the end of 2005, Xifeng township was abolished and merged into Xiage town. Construction of small towns

As one of the four strategies of the town, the construction of small towns has been developed unprecedentedly in the near future. Now it has a comprehensive agricultural market and small commodity monopoly market covering an area of 30000 square meters, two 110000 volt substations and three waterworks, with a daily output of 8000 tons of tap water. Key projects

Driven by radiation, Huaneng Chaohu Power Plant is located in Damiao administrative village in the south of Xiage town. The project is a key construction project in Anhui Province during the 11th Five Year Plan period, known as the "No.1 Project" of Chaohu City. It is the result of efforts of successive municipal Party committees and municipal governments. It is jointly invested and constructed by China Huaneng Group and Anhui electric power investment company, with a total land area of 670 Mu and a total investment of 10 billion yuan The dynamic investment of the first phase of the project is 4.9 billion yuan, with the construction of 2 × 600 MW. The new project started in June 2006. The first unit will be put into operation in August 2008, and the second unit will be put into operation in October of the same year. Chaohu Power Plant will become one of the main power plants in East China Power Grid after its completion, which is conducive to the rational distribution of power supply in Anhui Province and plays a supporting role in the central Anhui power grid, so as to improve the security and stability level of the central Anhui power grid, give consideration to the "power transmission from Anhui to East", meet the load needs of the provincial power grid and the Yangtze River Delta, and play a leading role in the industrial development of Xiage town.
