Gehetou Town, belonging to Qinglong Manchu Autonomous County of Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province, is located in the southeast of Qinglong Manchu Autonomous County, bordering daxinzhai town of Funing District in the East, Guanchang Township in the south, ciyushan Township in the West and anziling Township in the north. The administrative area is 167.12 square kilometers. By the end of 2018, the population registered residence in the town was 27663.

In 1949, it belonged to Sanchakou district; in October 1996, xinchenggou township was merged; in March 2010, it was relocated to gehetou town. As of June 2020, gehetou town has jurisdiction over 20 administrative villages, and the town people's government is stationed in gehetou village.

In 2018, gehetou town has 1 industrial enterprise and 25 comprehensive stores or supermarkets with a business area of more than 50 square meters.

History of construction

In 1949, it belonged to Sanchakou district.

In 1956, gehetou township was established.

In 1958, it belonged to Dongfeng commune.

In 1961, Dongfeng commune established gehetou commune.

In 1984, the commune was abolished and gehetou township was restored.

In 1988, dongzhangzi township was incorporated,

In October 1996, xinchenggou township was incorporated into the city.

In March 2010, it was relocated to gehetou town.
