Huyuan Township
Huyuan township is located in the southeast of Jinyun County, Zhejiang Province. The township government is located in Zhangcun, 14.4 kilometers southeast of the county. The township is named after Yuanhu village and Taoyuan Township. It borders Dayuan town in the East, Dayang town in the south, Fangxi town and Dongdu town in the west, Shuhong town and Rongjiang town in the northwest and northeast respectively. It covers an area of 44.5 square kilometers (2017) and has 7901 people (2017).
Historical evolution
It has jurisdiction over 54 natural villages, 11 villager committees and 201 villager groups. At the beginning of the founding of the people's Republic of China, it was divided into two townships, Hu Village and Zhang village. In 1958, it belonged to Panxi commune and was under the management of Huyuan. In 1961, it was renamed Huyuan commune. In 1982, it was divided into Hucun and Taoyuan communes. Huyuan Township
