In the Qing Dynasty, it belonged to baojiazhuang, Yangjiazhuang and Renjiazhuang in Nantian township of Ninghai County. In the period of the Republic of China, it was changed into a township, belonging to baojiazhuang, Yangjiazhuang and Renjiazhuang respectively. In 1949, it was liberated and set up the tingpang District, which belongs to Sanmen County. It has jurisdiction over six townships, namely, tingpang, Shaojia, Zhongmen, Nanxi, Batou and Penglai. In 1992, it was the first time that the townships were withdrawn and expanded. Shaojia, Nanxi and Penglai townships were withdrawn and merged into three townships, namely, tingpang, Zhongmen and Batou. In 2001, Zhongmen and Batou townships were withdrawn and merged into xintingpang town. In 1928, under the leadership of revolutionary martyrs such as Bao Ding and ye Xinzhuang, the tingpang uprising shocked the whole country and established the first Soviet regime in Zhejiang Province. the revolutionary martyrs memorial hall beside the pavilion is a historical and cultural relic protection unit of the province. It is designated as the patriotic education base of the province by the provincial Party committee and the provincial government. The revolutionary memorial group beside the pavilion is the only red tourist attraction in Taizhou. The people beside the pavilion are active in thought and rich in cultural life. The yangjiabanlong is famous all over the world, with a total length of 428 meters, setting a Guinness record. According to the genealogy of Bao family in Tinglin, beside the pavilion, it was called Tinglin in ancient times. "The pavilion beside Yang's Genealogy" carries the post mountain of Town God's Temple. It is called Ting Shan, and the two surnames of Yang and Bao lie next to the pavilion. The pavilion has a long history. In 1947, the stone axe and a large number of fragments of red pottery with sand, such as tripod feet, pots and cauldrons, were unearthed at shangfendun of Baojia. They were identified as Neolithic sites and relics. It is proved that as early as four or five thousand years ago, there were human beings working and living in this land. In ancient times, there were many surnames of residents in this area, including "Tang, Lin, Ying, Xie, Zhou, Wang and Guo". In the Yuan Dynasty, the surnames of Bao and Yang moved here. later, the descendants became more and more popular, so most of them were the places where the surnames Bao and Yang lived together. In 1665, the fourth year of the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty, it was the residence of Taizhou coastal defense branch.
