Dongsha community

Dongsha community is located in the northwest end of Daishan Island, adjacent to daiquyang in the north, Qiaotou community in the East and Daixi town in the south. The present Dongsha community was formed by the combination of Dongsha community and nianmu community after the Administrative Region Adjustment on June 21, 2005. The former Dongsha community was formed by the merger of Shahekou neighborhood committee, Hengjie neighborhood committee, Xinjie neighborhood committee and Tiefan neighborhood committee. The original nianmu community was formed by the merger of nianmu neighborhood committee and nianmu village. The community has a total population of 4967, 2530 households, 1 general Party branch committee, 5 party branches, 232 party members, 1 League branch, 30 League members and 1 elderly activity center. Qiaotou community

Qiaotou community is located in the north end of Daishan Island, with superior geographical location and convenient transportation. It has a land area of about 8 square kilometers, with a total population of 5370 people, 2502 households, 4 Party branches, 26 party groups and 224 party members. The community has 952.25 mu of cultivated land, including 306.8 mu of paddy field, 645.45 mu of dry land, 1834 mu of salt field and 1500 mu of mountain forest. It has 6 reservoirs. Located in the northeast end of Daishan Island, Nishi community was formed in June 2005 by the merger of four villages, namely Nishi, Yujin, Jiangyao and jiangyaohu. It has a land area of 7.8 square kilometers, a population of 5625 and 2430 households. Nishi community is dominated by industry, with agriculture, fishing, salt, forestry, animal husbandry, commerce and other industries developing simultaneously. It is rich in natural resources and beautiful environment. It has unique island tourism resources. There are Chinese typhoon Museum, bird's nest stalagmites, houpeng lighthouse, tongpanwan beach, maojiaao beach and other scenic spots in the area. Siji community is located in the center of Daishan island. It is a new type of fishing and rural community under Dongsha town. The total population of the community is 2377, 1044 households. The total land area of the community is 3 square kilometers, and the cultivated land area is 1275 mu, including 150 mu for industrial park, 102 mu for shrimp pond breeding, 80 mu for vegetable planting, 154 mu for fruit, 518 mu for rice, 270 mu for dry land and 460 mu for salt field. With the efforts of all the members of the community, Siji has developed from a pure agricultural area into a multi industry community with industry, agriculture, salt and commerce. Industrial economy has become an important pillar of community development. At present, there are more than 30 enterprises in the community, mainly producing toys, green electric vehicles, micro motors, cartons, pharmaceuticals and other products. Historical evolution

Dongsha town has a long history. The beidiandou Neolithic cultural site in nianmu shows that there were residents living in Dongsha 3000-4000 years ago. It is said that more than 2000 years ago, Xu Fu, the founder of the Qin Dynasty, sought the elixir for the first emperor to live forever. He went ashore from the mouth of dongshajiao mountain and set foot in Penglai mountain. In the Five Dynasties, shanzuitou was a resting place for Korean tribute ships. In the first year of Yuanfeng of Song Dynasty (1078), Dongsha belonged to Penglai township (the name of Daishan Township since Tang Dynasty). In the Ming Dynasty, Changguo county was abandoned as a township, while Dongsha belonged to Changguo township. In 1688, Dinghai county was established in the 27th year of the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty. Under the township, tu'ao was set up. Dongsha belonged to nianmu tu'ao in Penglai township. Qing Daoguang 21 years (1841) under the township to Zhuang, Dongsha daierzhuang. Dinghai Tingzhi, written by Guangxu of Qing Dynasty, was called dongshajiao town. In 1910, Daishan was established as a town, and Dongsha belonged to Daishan town. Dongsha was built as a town in 1934. In 1939, Japanese invaders entered Dongsha and set up the "autonomous society", which is called "Dongsha special city". Wengzhou county was established in 1949 as a class a town. After the liberation of Daishan in May 1950, it was subordinate to daiqu District of Dinghai county and established an established town. From 1953 to 1955, it was the residence of Daishan County Government, known as the town directly under the central government. In October 1958, it was changed into Dongsha people's commune. In June 1962, it was renamed Dongsha town. On December 8, 2003, the administrative region adjusted to abolish the original organizational system of Dongsha town and merge with Nishi town and Siji village of Gaoting town to establish new Dongsha town. After the adjustment, Dongsha town governs 12 administrative villages and 7 residential areas, and the town government is located in Gongmen village, 9 kilometers away from the county seat. By the end of 2003, the town had jurisdiction over Dongsha, Qiaotou, nianmu, three community residents committees, Dongsha fishing team, and seven administrative villages including Gongmen, Shuyuan, Nishi, Yujin, Jiangyao, jiangyaohu and Siji, with a total population of 20268, including 3208 non-agricultural households and 6712 people.

Century old Yudu ancient town

Dongsha has a long history and profound cultural accumulation. According to textual research, as early as 4000 years ago, human beings had been living and reproducing in dongshajiao. More than 2200 years ago, the first emperor of Qin sent Xu Fu to lead 3000 boys and girls to look for the elixir of immortality. When he saw that Daishan island was ethereal and hazy, just like a fairyland, he boarded to find immortals. The place where he boarded was zuitou of dongshashan. There are inscriptions in the "sea sky Pavilion" built in the reign of qingguangxu.

Dongsha ancient town was established in Tang Dynasty and flourished in Qing Dynasty. According to the history of Chinese fisheries, Dongsha fishing port was formed in the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty. Since then, during the fishing season, fishing boats gathered in Dongsha, with thousands of boats and tens of thousands of people.
